The most significant news this past week was the announcement that the first single is indeed entitled “Growing Wings” as noted on various fan sites, and as was speculated about last week due to the photograph Odacity provided on their FB site. [You may have noticed that photograph from George Dimitrov is no longer available…]. Indeed we all hope that it will allow Lara and her work to ‘grow wings’ in the English-speaking world, and elsewhere! . A nice picture illustrating it was posted by Monika Michlerova on Lara’s Twitter site, at
pbs.twimg.com/media/DCoJCQDXgAAP_pu.jpg
Again, it will be released in a few weeks.
On Lara’s Twitter page, at (), Lara wrote, “12 new songs for my upcoming new English album "Camouflage"...ready to be released this fall .. .I am so excited !” While there are 12 songs, and only 12, there apparently will be remixes of some of them available (as distinct from simply ‘radio edits’). This has been something Lara has done in the past, starting with ‘Qui pense a l’amour’ from her very first album; other songs that have had ‘official’ remixes include ‘I Am Who I Am’; ‘I Will Love Again’ (and there are various remixes of its versions in other languages, ‘Otro Amor Vendra’ and ‘Meu Grande Amor’); ‘Every Woman In Me” (at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lez2OERN-qw); ‘La vie est là’ (available on iTunes); and most recently ‘Make Me Yours Tonight’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmXlCbjT_w0). [This also differs from simply different versions entirely, with different singing, such as the many incarnations of ‘Tout’]. As the list indicates, they are usually done with up-tempo songs, so that different drum beats, etc. can be incorporated; we might therefore expect songs of that nature on the new album.
The Lara Fabian Greece site had a nice fan-made picture for the album, at
www.facebook.com/larafabiangreece/photos/a.443804005744698.1073741828.443548625770236/715315688593527/?type=3&theater
Lara can only hope that this new album is even half as successful as her original English one, which still makes lists somewhere around the world most every day. For example, today it is #34 in Uzbekistan and #119 in Turkey on iTunes.
Lara’s interactions with fans are increasingly being done in a conversational tone. For example, she said on her Twitter site, “I feel like watching a new TV show this weekend. Any recommendations ?." And she then also asked about the new version of Twin Peaks. People proceeded to offer some suggestions . Actually fans often commented instead on several of the beautiful photos Lara has on that Twitter site.
In the same vein, Lara posted a picture of her manager’s dog on her FB site,
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1612177125490445/?type=3
with the caption, “I made a new friend”. Lara indicated he was named ‘Leo’, and is a Goldendoodle. She stated that he even had his own FB page (an increasingly common occurrence for pet owners in this day and age).
Continuing in the vein of posting photos, Lara included a beautiful one for her profile picture, at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.201066899934815.46181.201065806601591/1613397992035025/?type=3&theater
This followed an interesting one she provided for the ‘Camaflouge’ world tour, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.338665829508254.73574.201065806601591/1544266088948216/?type=3&theater
And two pictures from her Instagram site, the first a serene picture at:
with the caption, “Somewhere between heaven and sea, always close to you ...”.
[As noted by Thierry Palo, on the MZ II FB site, this looks pretty identical to the picture posted by Thierry Martino on 5/28 (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155404031193566&set=a.10150707834968566.423658.815268565&type=3&theater), who, as TP pointed out, was her manager during the time of ‘Le Secret’ album. Thierry Martino indicated it was taken from the Amare Marbella Beach Hotel, in Marbella, Spain – suggesting again that Lara is now living there.]
[Also note: Lara even had a version with Love written on it which seems to have disappeared, though one can still see it on the Lara Fabian Connecting People site,
vk.com/lf_cp?z=photo-121236_456244507%2Fwall-121236_223339].
Finally, one celebrating international Father’s Day of the leaves on a tree, at:
with the caption, “Just in the wind ... Happy Father's Day ... Love.” Whether she meant it as a metaphor of this nature, one can think of the tree as the 'father', and the leaves as its various children.
Lara also posted a video of ‘Mandy’ a woman who lost her hearing at age 18 and yet kept on singing (she’s 29 now). She explains in the video that she feels the vibration through her feet. It's available at:
www.facebook.com/antosharps/videos/1374717329315323/.
The song she's singing is ‘Try”, which is about not giving up. Lara’s comment was, “This girl lost her hearing and refused to give up on her dream, this is so beautiful and inspiring. I’m crying.“
This past June 14th was International Blood Donor day, and Lara noted it with an appropriate poster, at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1608089002565924/?type=3&theater
And the comment, “Your blood group can save lives…”
The Lara Fabian – PHQ site posted a photo and article about Lara from ‘iPresse’ (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianphq/photos/a.353954938084519.1073741828.353946178085395/1161056490707689/?type=3&theater). Here’s the translation:

Last summer, my husband and I were finishing a fabulous Sicilian road-trip in Trapani. In the baroque quarter of the city, near the sea, we have discovered an address for purists of ice cream. A craftsman proposes gelati bio [ice cream from organic farming] and kilometro zero : he produces himself all its ingredients, in his garden. It only opens a few hours a day. Not easy to make smile this enthusiast with the look of a math teacher, except when he sees your face light up with pleasure! There, on the small terrace in front of the shop, I enjoyed a granita al gelsomino (with jasmine) in a brioche, as they are tasted in Sicily. Granita is a kind of sorbet, but less sugar and having been cooked. It was so exquisite that I felt that every mouthful was massaging my throat. The next day, we wanted to go back before flying, but alas, on the door, a sign said "Sorry, I lack the ingredients, I can not open today."
Lara no longer remembers the address, found at random. We advise you on this one: gelateria liparoti, 21 viale delle sirene, 91100 Trapani, sicily,
www.facebook.com/gelaterialiparoti
Her News
This autumn she releases ‘Camouflage’, first album in English in 14 years, in a very personal and contemporary style. She will be in concert at Forest National June 9, 2018.

An appropriate summer-time story...
There were numerous interesting photos of the week (in addition to Lara’s). From Operation Fan Club Lara Fabian:
www.facebook.com/OperationFanClubLaraFabian/photos/a.674006339373232.1073741828.673991206041412/1308612579245935/?type=3&theater
From the Lara Fabian Voice of Passion site,

And from the Lara Fabian Greece site,

They also included the following quote from Lara: “We need stars to look up to. And stars in both meanings of the word. Stars because they shine and stars because they are so exquisitely remote from us and make us dream. It takes a dream to follow another one". Well-said!
As the various links suggest, Lara is increasingly using her official Twitter and Instagram accounts, in addition to her FB site, so for those wanting to stay ‘au courant’, include those links in your on-line perusing . In the coming weeks we can expect the more conversational tone to continue as long as Lara is interested and has time to do it. Of course, once the single is released, that will undoubtedly dominate the conversation; and still to come are more verified tour dates. Summer begins tomorrow (6/21), usually a quieter time, but for Lara it is brimming with anticipation for the first public release of her new venture. Let’s hope it gets a warm reception.
