Lara was due to participate at the gala closure of the circus in Brussels last night (as noted by angeyeliel). The advertisement can be seen at:

So far there have been no reports as to whether Lara actually showed up. (Is she there or in Quebec?) If in fact she was there, it would likely be pay-back for their allowing her to debut the portions of the new album at the circus last month. (It has reached the point that nobody even questions whether her appearance should have been listed on the Official Site.)
The video of the October 16th album debut has now made its way to Youtube. In addition, Ze Lamélie (on Hezia’s site) offered screen captures of it; they can be found at:

Also yesterday, there was an article in “Le Parisien” discussing the return to their public careers of three “singers of voice”, Lara, Hélène Ségara, and Patricia Kaas. All three are releasing new albums. In Lara’s portion of the article they just noted that Lara was originally the prototype for this sort of singer, but subsequently released more intimate albums, and has been largely absent the last 2 years.
TV magazines stated that Lara was going to be on “la methode Cauet” December 4th. However, this scheduling was probably left over from the aborted push for the new album, and will probably not occur. Look for it next March, if indeed the new album is really released then. Concerning the album, an article appeared discussing the rumor that Lara would be doing one of Mylène Farmer’s songs (“Libertine”). It noted that their styles are distinctly different and that Lara’s performance would be subject to close scrutiny by Mylène’s fans. This is also obviously true of all the other singers Lara is reprising, and has already happened with the six songs we’ve heard so far. It’s the other side of the problem – Lara is not only competing with the fan’s expectations of her, but also with the original singers (whose presentation must have been good enough for it to have influenced Lara). Hopefully she is prepared for this…
Several outlets have now picked up the story of Lara’s working on a TV broadcast honoring the rights of women in March, (e.g., as cited by angeyeliel on the official site):

There was nothing additional to what we already heard, except the article agreed with Lara in suggesting that she should have no problem finding a broadcast outlet. It would be a good career move for ‘re-introducing’ her, as well as fulfilling what is obviously now one of her passions.
The new album of Mario Frangoulis live in Athens, with Lara’s participation, was due out this past week, but there is no indication that it actually happened. It is still not listed on his website, nor do any of the on-line sources (at least the ones that I’m acquainted with) offer it. Perhaps it will be out this coming week. Curiously, none of them, not even his own shop, offer pre-orders. [There is now available on Youtube a nice version of the two of them singing Caruso from the Athens festival.]
And finally, Lara’s daughter was 1 year old on the 20th – HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lou!
