I am completely left spellbound by it! Lara once again proved to me that not only is she an exceptional artiste, but, she herself is a work of art. I undoubtedly felt every emotion in each song and was taken captive by the sheer genius of her haunting voice and lyrics. It's amazing to me that Lara is able to write and sing about such private emotions. Her lyrics are so raw and candid. The lyrics and the gravity of her voice cuts through to you like a knife. I am in total awe of Lara. She for whatever reasons lets her fans into her private, most intimate world. Where most of dare not let others tread, she opens her soul to all of us. At times while listening to the songs I felt as if I was invading Lara's most personal intimate space. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt as if I was trespassing. I did not want to take pleasure in enjoying such private and raw emotions those belonging to Lara.
Not only does Lara sing from her heart, but she IS her heart. It's there for all of us to see and adore. "A Wonderful Life" has shaken me to my core and I am so very thankful to Lara for sharing her beautiful voice and naked emotions to the world through the power of beautiful music of that belonging to Lara.
I can't say that I have a definite favourite song on "A Wonderful Life", because they're all fantastic, but, the songs that I found the most intimate and raw were "No Big Deal", "Conquered", Intoxicated" and "Walk Away". Lara is definitely the alpha and the omega of music!
