The return from vacation for the French populace this past week did not mark a spurt of activity on Lara’s part, but there are signs she is concerned about her audience…
The official site sent around an email inviting fan club members to the Oct. 16th private concert in Brussels. The invitation was no different than the version given on the official site itself, but it does show that they are serious in hoping people will come, and trying to put Lara back in touch with her fans – a positive sign!
For that reason, as well as undoubtedly monetary ones, Lara is putting out a 3 CD set of her last French studio albums, Pure, Nue and Neuf, available for 24 euros starting Sept. 22nd on FNAC. Buying them separately costs 42 euros. It’s not clear whether there will be anything added/subtracted from these versions of the albums. As noted in another post, she is also, on amazon.com.fr, re-releasing (in 2008) all her French studio albums singularly (with the new release of Pure omitting ‘La Difference’, inexplicably since it’s currently available on the older version). And as Serf noted on another site, "Lara Fabian Live" is now available in a simple version cut down to one disc on the US Amazon.com.
All of this is understandable, but it also suggests that no new album is anticipated for this year. The 3 CD release may be her version of a ‘Christmas special’.
Next Saturday night is the Pavarotti special (to be telecast some 8 days later). Some web sites still list Lara as participating, even though the official site said she was dis-invited. We’ll find out; also, apparently all of the acts will not be shown on the broadcast.
The official site has now listed Lara’s appearance with Mario Frangoulis, September 19th in London – but it has placed it in the ‘Diary’ section, not in ‘Concerts’. There is still no listing for the similar event in Athens 5 days later. Both of them are venues that Lara’s fans would/could conceivably go to if they were better advertized.
Two nice photos of Lara are available at sites indicated in messages at:

(I found one had to copy the sites listed, and past them into the browser, rather than click on them…)
