The big news this week, as introduced by Laurent21 on the official site, is that a tape of the France 2007 Night of the Proms (NOTP) show will be broadcast on the Belgian TV channel RTL TV1 on March 29, at 10:40 PM. The show is scheduled to last 1 hour and 40 minutes. It includes Lara Fabian, Christophe Willem, Tony Henry, Murray Head, Tears for Fears, John Miles and his group The Electric Band, the Orchestra Il Novecento and the chorales group Fine Fleur. You may remember that Lara did a number of memorable and unique songs in this show; we can only hope that many of them are included. One also hopes that a tape of the show will be made available on the web (or even eventually appear on French TV5).
On the official site, Lara has put on a "treasure hunt". She gives dates for a very eclectic set of her concerts, and asks people if they have photos of her from those concerts. One gets to this part of the site by clicking on the cubes in the intro, and watching what happens when they turn around. Alternatively, the dates are listed at:
www.lara-fabian.fr/treasure/fr/
She will select the 15 most beautiful pictures and they will be displayed for a few days at a charitable institution. Actually, since there are videos from many of those concerts, people have noted that they could just take a screen capture of some part of the video - although if quality matters, that might not work as well. There's no indication yet of what one is to do with the photos (i.e., who to send them to), but presumably it will involve the fan club address (physical or electronic). You do not have to be a member of the fan club to 'play'. This is undoubtedly the kind of 'surprise' Lara mentioned would be showing up on the website.
Speaking of the official site: it was up and down part of the week, with some sections not accessible. Presumably this happens whenever they do any work on it. In addition, it does not appear as if the 'fan club' portion works at all (one can't log into one's account; if anybody has any different information concerning that, please tell us). Also, the official site still has not put back any dates for Lara's concerts with Mario Frangoulis in Greece (Paula noted Mario Frangoulis on his site indicates those concerts will be on May 16 and 17th). This may just be their normal tardiness.
On Hezia's site, "alis" posted 2 clips of Gerard Pullicino, first accepting the "telemoustique" award for director/producer of the best entertainment show, Taratata, (a French TV program showcasting live and pre-recorded footage of current rock acts), and then giving an interview. You may remember the show took place on February 25th.

It was hard to hear, but the general opinion is that the interviewer spoke to Gerard at one point about November 20th, and he looked towards the audience and smiled. Lara was not clearly visible. However, a few pictures of Lara from that setting are available at:

[It's a sign of the times that this show is being milked for all the news one can get!]
A follow-up on the article concerning Rick Allison's financial problems from last week: BenjaminBelgium on Laradom noted when the news first came out last spring that Rick claims Sony Music gave Lara $520K that should have been given to him; that she had released albums and DVDs with a number of their works without his permission (whose rights he values at $60K); and that by blocking certain projects, she has cost him another $120K. Added together, that goes a decent way towards the $940K the bank claims he owes.
No word as to whether Lara has actually gone to Montreal as suggested by Matt Herskowitz; at least there have been no reported sightings.
