Lara remains out of sight for now, but her future plans are slowly coming into view. There is news that her next concert in Moscow is planned for May 29th, to take place at the Theatre of the Kremlin. Xenia on the official site posted this announcement (and provided the translation) from one of the Russian websites:

According to the information from Andrey Agapov (the head of the company that invites Lara to Russia), kindly given to the members of our forum, the concert will take place on May 29 in the Kremlin. The date and the place of the concert may be changed before the official announcement. This information was received on the concert of Helene Segara on January 31, 2008. We have asked him and Andrey answered personally.

We know that the venue is subject to change as well as the date (probably based on economics and the actual timing), for she was originally supposed to perform in that theatre last year, before it was moved. As usual the official site had no response, but their repeating mantra always is that if it is not officially confirmed there, it is not yet set. Speculation has arisen about other appearances, perhaps in Belgium in March, but again nothing has been confirmed (and Lara may be in Montreal then).
[As an aside, the official site continues its habit of closing the forum for long stretches on weekends, which has been going on periodically for months. One wonders what that is all about - they can't possibly be saving money, and when it comes back up, nothing has changed. All it does is keep people from viewing/contributing during the time they're most available. (It is back up at the time of this writing.)]
There's been some discussion on the websites this week about what Matt Herskowitz actually meant when he talked about the new album with Lara as being classically-inspired. The most popular thought was that it would be concerned with pieces like "Adagio" rather than "La Traviata". Another question was whether it would be Matt's album, primarily, or Lara's. In response to that uncertainty, it was pointed out that on his own website, Matt wrote, "Lara and I are currently writing songs for her next album. I'll give more details soon, but I can already say that it's going to be something really special."
