"Waiting In The Weeds" Artist: Eagles Album: Long Road Out Of Eden Year: 2007
It's comin' on the end of August Another summer's promise almost gone And though I heard some wise man say That every dog will have his day He never mentioned that these dog days get so long
I don't know when I realized the dream was over Well, there was no particular hour, no given day You know, it didn't go down in flame There was no final scene, no frozen frame I just watched it slowly fade away
And I've been waiting in the weeds Waiting for my time to come around again and Hope is floating on the breeze Carrying my soul high up above the ground and I've been keepin' to myself Knowin' that the seasons are slowly changing Even though you're with somebody else He'll never love you like I do
I've been biding time with the crows and sparrows While peacocks prance and strut upon the stage If finding love is just a dance Proximity and chance You will excuse me if I skip the masquerade
And I've been waiting in the weeds Waiting for the dust to settle down along the Back roads running through the fields Lying on the outskirts of this lonesome town And I imagine sunlight in your hair You're at the county fair
You're holding hands and laughing And now the ferris wheel has stopped You're swinging on the top Suspended there with him
And he's the darling of the chic The flavor of the week is melting Down your pretty summer dress Baby, what a mess you're making
I've been stumbling through some dark places Now I'm following the plow I know I've fallen out of your good graces It's alright now
And I've been waiting in the weeds Waiting for the summer rain to fall upon the Wild birds scattering the seeds Answering the calling of the tide's eternal tune The phases of the moon The chambers of the heart The ebb and dart of small gray Spiders spinning in the dark In spite of all the times the web is torn apart
And I've been waiting in the weeds Waiting for the time to come around again and Hope is floating on the breeze Carrying my soul high up above the ground and I've been keeping to myself Knowing that the seasons are slowly changing Even though you're with somebody else He'll never love you like I do

How Can I Not Love You
JOY ENRIQUEZ
Cannot touch, Cannot hold, Cannot be together Cannot love, Cannot kiss, Cannot love each other Must be strong and we must let go Cannot say what our hearts must know
Chorus: How can I not love you What do I tell my heart When do I not want you here in my arms How does one walks away From all of the memories How do I not miss you when you are gone
Cannot trip, Cannot share sweet and tender moments Cannot feel how we feel, Must pretend it's over Must be brave and we must go on, Must not say What we no longer long
Chorus: How can I not love you What do I tell my heart When do I not want you here in my arms How does one walks away From all of the memories How do I not miss you when you are gone
How can I not love you
Bridge: Must be brave and we must be strong Cannot say what we no longer long
Chorus: How can I not love you What do I tell my heart When do I not want you here in my arms How does one walks away From all of the memories How do I not miss you when you are gone
How can I not love you When you are gone

"Oh My God" ~ Jars Of Clay
Oh my God, look around this place Your fingers reach around the bone You set the break and set the tone Flights of grace, and future falls In present pain All fools say, "Oh my God"
Oh my God, Why are we so afraid? We make it worse when we don't bleed There is no cure for our disease Turn a phrase, and rise again Or fake your death and only tell your closest friend Oh my God.
Oh my God, can I complain? You take away my firm belief and graft my soul upon your grief Weddings, boats and alibis All drift away, and a mother cries
Liars and fools; sons and failures Thieves will always say Lost and found; ailing wanderers Healers always say Whores and angels; men with problems Leavers always say Broken hearted; separated Orphans always say War creators; racial haters Preachers always say Distant fathers; fallen warriors Givers always say Pilgrim saints; lonely widows
Users always say Fearful mothers; watchful doubters Saviors always say
Sometimes I cannot forgive And these days, mercy cuts so deep If the world was how it should be, maybe I could get some sleep While I lay, I dream we're better, Scales were gone and faces light When we wake, we hate our brother We still move to hurt each other Sometimes I can close my eyes, And all the fear that keeps me silent falls below my heavy breathing, What makes me so badly bent? We all have a chance to murder We all feel the need for wonder We still want to be reminded that the pain is worth the thunder
Sometimes when I lose my grip, I wonder what to make of heaven All the times I thought to reach up All the times I had to give Babies underneath their beds Hospitals that cannot treat all the wounds that money causes, All the comforts of cathedrals All the cries of thirsty children - this is our inheritance All the rage of watching mothers - this is our greatest offense
Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God

Les Fleurs Du Mal By Sarah Brightman, from the album Symphony
Is it you I keep thinking of? Should I feel like I do? I’ve come to know that I miss your love While I’m not missing you We run Til it’s gone Et les fleurs du mal (and the flowers of evil) Won’t let you be You hold the key to an open door Will I ever be free?
Chorus: Les fleurs du mal unfold (the flowers of evil) Comme les fleurs du mal (As the flowers of evil) Dark demons of my soul Un amour fatal (A fatal love) Been tryin' hard to fight Comme les fleurs du mal (As the flowers of evil) Les fleurs du mal inside (the flowers of evil) Un amour fatal ( A fatal love)
All my life I’ve been waiting for In this perfume of pain To forget when I needed more Of love’s endless refrain We live And we pray Pour les fleurs du mal (For the flowers of evil) I’ve lost my way What is done will return again Will I ever be free?
(Repeat chorus)
Les fleurs du mal (the flowers of evil) Comme les fleurs du mal (As the flowers of evil) Un amour fatal (a fatal love) Comme les fleurs du mal (as the flowers of evil)
(Repeat chorus)

Stand Up By Garou, from the album "Piece of My Soul"
Dream yourself awake Can't make it through the night Wicked dreams will haunt you When the morning light shines You try to find your way outside
Just another day You try to let them shine The people disappoint you Makes you wonder why you cry You can almost see the end of you
Refrain: So come on stand up Yeah put your hands up It ain't wrong to be strong And it's gonna be gone And then they won't come back to you No no no no
Wake up Try not to break up If they're holding you down Then you rise to the top Cos you're a bad bad girl And you just can't stop
Give yourself a break Listen to your heart Let your conscience guide you Never let your guard down Find out the best of you
Everything you do And what is done to you Doesn't have to change you It only makes you stronger and stronger The more they take away from you
Refrain: So come on stand up Yeah put your hands up It ain't wrong to be strong And it's gonna be gone And then they won't come back to you No no no no
Wake up Try not to break up If they're holding you down Then you rise to the top Cos you're a bad bad girl And you just can't stop
Bridge: You won't lead no beggars life And you sure don't need their bad advice or their five cents worth of what they think of you Sometimes they're not so into you Keep your head up above that line, you know Everybody loses sometimes Shame shame shame The things they've done to you

Bear Witness
You can put them on the counter, there with all the other flowers And help me figure out how to turn off this TV I'm glad you made the visit, and if you think you have a minute You should sit and talk until it's time to leave
Is my granddaughter Ruthie still working at the movies? Does she still let all her boyfriends in for free? Does she still stare out of the front door as she's serving people popcorn And talk about how nice today was supposed to be?
Oh, that's the love that I came to bear witness to Oh, and the love I'm taking with me when I go
Did you notice walking over at the house down on the corner There's a dog behind a window that doesn't move I've seen him staring in the mornings, I've seen him staring in the evenings As if time stops until his master's in the room
Oh, that's the love that I came to bear witness to Oh, and the love I'm taking with me when I go
Some nights get worse than others, and I start thinking about your mother And she's here with me as far as I can tell As if the world revealed its secret and it's asking me to keep it Like a kid that hears the ocean in a shell
And that's the love that I came to bear witness to And the love I'm taking with me when I go
Oh, that's the love that I came to bear witness to Oh, and the love I'm taking with me when I go
