I just got a message from Amazon.fr that my order for the Un Regard 9 CD/DVD has been delayed by one to two weeks. OH HEAVY HEART. The release date was today 10/20/06. I am hoping this is a good sign and it is selling sooooooo well that they sold out and need to replenish.

I also want to cry. The CD/DVD combo is no longer available from Amazon.fr. I wonder when it will be available again?

Hi guys can you please tell me if I'm right about the following The following product on Amazon is the Live CD together with a bonus DVD (This DVD does not contain the Live Concert only Bonus material) www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B000HCPWW2/ref=pd_rvi_gw_1/403-5353382-4934805The following is the Concert DVD www.amazon.fr/Un-Regard-live-Lara-Fabian/dp/B000HCPWVS/ref=pd_bxgy_m_img_b/403-5353382-4934805So you won't get any duplicate content if you order both (I see there is a special discounted link for ordering both). You get the Audio CD, a special DVD with never published before content and the concert DVD. The site does not give a lot of details (like Region code, NTSC format and stuff like that, which makes it a bit confusing). I would also like to know if you would recommend the following shows: - Enfoires En Coeur 1998 - L'odysee Des Enfoires 2001 - Le Train Des Enfoires 2005 I think Paula once said that Lara appears on all three these concerts. While ordering Lara's new Live DVD I might just as well add these too to save on shipping costs if I have to order them again on a later stage. Does Lara perform a lot on these shows or only a couple of times, and if you take Lara out of the show is it still entertaining to watch (Is the other artists also performing any good)? Thanks.

Hi Coenraad,
I have the CD/DVD combo. The DVD contains the concert and the bonus footage. I believe if you buy the DVD separately it will be the same one as in the combo. It also comes with a booklet and I am not sure the single DVD would have that or not. The code is PAL toute zones.
As for the Les Enfoires:
Enfoires En Coeur 1998 is very entertaining. - Lara sings Un Jour Mon Prince Viendra (Someday My Prince Will Come), a duet with Johnny Hallyday Requiem Pour Un Fou (it is awesome) and On Va S'aimer. The rest is very good and features many artists I listen to. Of course I do not understand the skits they do. LOL
L'odyssee Des Enfoires 2001 - Lara sings Aller Plus Haut (with Roch Voisine and Daniel Levi), C'est L'Amour (with a bunch of people very cute) and Medley Rock Collection with a bunch of people. You will see Evidemment sung by Patrick Fiori, Maurane and Pascal Obispo.
Le Train Des Enfoires - Lara is on stage a lot more than in the other two but is featured less. This is my favorite show. Lara sings a great song Sur Un Prelude De Bach with three other people. She also sings in two or three other songs but just portions of them. I would say she is on stage for at least half of the 25 songs/skits (but not singing). In the other two shows she is just in the three songs she sings and of course the beginning and ending songs where everyone performing is part of it. This cd has Natashia St Pier, Laam, Patrick Fiori, Pascal Obispo, Julie Zenatti, Helene Segara, Maurane, Garou and Chimene Badi amoung others
I really recommend them. Even though I don't understand a lot what is going on, I can pick up the gist of the acts - they are very very entertaining.

Thanks for the advice Paula, you certainly saved me quite a few bucks because I was positive the single DVD and the one shipped with the combo was not the same. And if I look at the other artists performing in these shows it certainly can't be boring shows. And best of all the names you mentioned for Le Train Des Enfoires is among my favourite European artists, so thanks for the tip.

No problem Coenraad. Just remember I did not buy the single DVD so I am just giving you info that I got from other sites.
Le Train Des Enfoires is the show I like best. If you took Lara out it would still be very entertaining. L'odyssee Des Enfoires 2001 is my second favorite and Enfoires En Coeur 1998 is good but only has a few of the artists, I mentioned, in it. I also have the 2006 Le Village Des Enfoires in which Lara was suppose to be on but was not. It has most of the artists I mentioned before but includes Tina Arena, Amel Bent and Nolween. Missing are Pascal Obispo, Lara ( Lara and Pascal were on the Autour De La Guitare show the same night as Les Enfoires), Daniel Levi and Roch Vosine. So you might be interested in that one too. I was not impressed with it but it did have a few good moments.

I made a BOOBOO with my order. I could not find Le Train Des Enfoires through the search facility but only found Les Enfoires : 15 ans d'enfoir's (also released in 2005) so I thought this was the show. I don't know why Amazon could not find Le Train Des Enfoires because I did an exact search. Later when I received my confirmation e-mail I saw Le Train Des Enfoires as a recommended product, pretty stupid to me, but anyway it is only available from Marketplace vendors and not Amazon directly which means I have to pay separate shipping fees. I read that the DVD I did order is a 2 Disc DVD about the best performances from last 15 years of the Enfoires show and is quite an entertaining compilation including great songs performed by Lara. SO I thought I might keep the order that way and see how it turns out.

During my studies and while I was busy I did not listen to Lara's music that much and even saw lesser videos. It has been a while since I saw new fresh videos about Lara. Then Mark and John sent me the Tout Lara Fabian show. After watching the show I completely fell in love with her and her music all over again. I got really excited when Enrique Iglesias appeared on the show. I thought he and Lara would perform a number but disappointingly they didn't. Enrique is one of the artists that is very similar to Lara. They both emote their music excellently. Lara's English debut had a Latin American song on it - I Am Who I Am. I would love to hear these two great voices together performing a Latin-American song, they are both extremely good dancers and have a great "feel" for Latin music, so I think they will do a great duet. But to come back to my story. I downloaded the videos Paula mentioned in another thread. I absolutely loved her performance of Aime, I get goosebumps all over my body when I saw Lara for the first time performing this song (before that I only had the privilege of hearing her). It is amazing how much control this woman have over her voice, she sings the song with a deep voice with a high pitch (I'm not sure how to explain it because I'm not a musician, but I haven't heard Lara sing this way ever). Her beautiful soothing voice is contrasted by the deep, low notes she sings during the song, like I said I can't explain to you how it sounds but one thing I know, no one else sounds this way. I am a big fan of Lara's portrayal of La Traviata (Addio Del Pasatto), I heard (saw ) her perform this on En Toute Entimite. I never saw Lara as an opera singer (although I knew she possessed the ability), but since then I could not get enough of this song (but only if Lara sings it). This lead me again to one of my biggest frustrations I endured over this weekend. After ordering my Un Regard 9 DVD I got the reply from Amazon telling me that the estimate delivery time is 18-22 JANUARY 2007! Can you believe it, the next album will be released by the time I get her previous DVD. But one thing can be said. Lara's music stays new forever, so it will not be like yesterday's album (DVD). It is maybe France has nothing to do with S.A. so there is not so many flights form France to South Africa. LOL! But the point I'm trying to make is my age old ranting and raving about the South African music industry. I searched for Lara's DVD on our local online shops (because I bought the 9 CD locally) and found that Josh Groban's new CD will be available soon here in South Africa. Now I am a huge fan of Josh and have great respect for him. But Lara stays my number one artist. If Lara was a male then she would have been Josh Groban in my eyes (that will give you a good idea of how much I enjoy his music). Josh not only sings English but also Italian (I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong), he sings music, not junk, he sings music with honesty, just like Lara. The best thing is that Lara wrote song(s??) for Josh (I know of Broken Vow, is there any other?) and you can see her as his mentor (it was on his debut that he appeared together with Lara in the song Forever And Always the title song for the Spielberg movie AI). Here I see Josh achieving higher status than Lara who is in my eyes a much more experienced and delivers not just the same quality but better quality music. I have heard people say Josh will sing beautifully no matter what he sings, you can give him the most stupid song and it will sound beautiful when he sings it. Now I say Lara TOO! Why on earth can people grasp the concept of music that has no barriers, music that is not barred by any language only for certain artists and not for other artists too. You may argue that Lara sings in ratio more non-English songs than Josh, but then again it isn't the language that matters to people when they listen to Josh, why can't they apply it to Lara. If there is a market for Josh's music, then there is certainly one for Lara here in South Africa. Now I can hear online shops moaning and saying that there is only a market for her English music. O.K. then tell me why do you keep stock of her French album 9 but not her English debut, again your actions contradicts your reasons for not selling her albums locally. I know I may be too naive to understand why I can't find more of Lara's music locally, but when I look at the popularity of artists similar to Lara, I can't understand why there isn't more of her music in S.A. I guess it is the age old problem of Record Company Burocracy (You know what I'm talking about. Does Sony ring a bell?) I really hoop her next album is going to make a lot of noise, she really deserves some International status, if Robbie Williams can create a stir with RUDEBOX then Lara can absolutely create a stir with the rumored Festa. (Sorry for all my babbling again, but all the same frustrations came back this weekend when I saw how unfair the world is treating Lara. I know I'm saying it to the wrong people, but then again, you are the only ones who will really understand)

I gave my previous words some thought and came to a very nice conclusion. Maybe it is a good thing that Lara never reached the fame she deserved to reach, because of the honesty of her music. Only people who can understand (and appreciate) her music, should be allowed to listen to it, the rest doesn't deserve her music. There is a saying that goes: The high trees get the most wind. I do not want Lara to be exposed to the world media. I guess she is experiencing enough with the media already. The more fame means less privacy and privacy is one thing I wish to grant Lara. The more fame she gets, the more she will be pressurised by record companies to do things their way, because her sincere ideas will not bring them money. It will certainly limit her creativity and hinder the sincere quality of her music. We will end up with a cosmetic, artificial Lara Fabian with artificial music, not music from the heart. I know that Polydor is allowing her this freedom (or at least it appears that way)
