Another quiet summer week, compounded by Lara’s need to be silent. She did have one entry on her FB/Instragram sites, this concerned with the release 20 years ago of the album “Nue” and a new vinyl reissue of "J'y crois encore" and the full album eventually.

The full vinyl release is expected August 20, 2021, to match the official release date 20 years earlier. As others have pointed out, most of Lara's albums have not appeared on vinyl, the exceptions being the recent ones, "Ma vie dans la tienne", "Camouflage", and "The Lockdown Sessions".
An article about the release can be found at:

RFMNEWS LARA FABIAN: HER ALBUM "NUE" REISSUED ON THE OCCASION OF HER 20TH ANNIVERSARY!
Lara Fabian's “Nue” album will experience new life in vinyl format on the occasion of its 20th anniversary!
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of this emblematic album in Lara Fabian's career, rediscover J'y crois encore , Immortelle , Bambina or even Tu es mon autre, the unforgettable duet with Maurane performed by the two most beautiful voices of French song. .
Between strength and emotion, rediscover all the charm of Lara Fabian, essential artist with an international career and enjoy for the first time the album in numbered double vinyl.
For this album, released in 1999, the singer called on Maurane for a smooth and nuanced duet (Tu es mon autre), and offered a world-rock title more spoken than sung (Imagine) and ended her album by a hidden piece, ten minutes of solo piano which take up the themes of its titles. Paradoxical? The artist, at 31, has simply evolved in a beautiful way. An extremely well produced opus by Rick Allison which remains in the register made up of passionate romantic ballads dear to Lara Fabian. Her first single, J'y crois encore, is an example.
--------------------------------
“Nue” is rightly or wrongly recognized as the last of Lara’s great albums (although IMHO "A Wonderful Life" and ‘Le Secret’ are of great quality, and the Russian version of Mademoiselle Zhivago has numerous high quality songs). Nue had sales of 850,000 in 2001, as listed on the “Charts in France” site, and none of her subsequent 10 studio albums or 3 live albums have matched that (in the Western world at least; there are unsubstantiated rumors the Mme. Zhivago sold more than that in Russia). It routinely contributes an entry to Lara’s concert setlist, often “J’y crois encore”, and is sure to be similarly recognized in the ‘Best of” tour next year.
It was also the last album that she produced with the collaboration of Rick Allison; many people feel that was why its like hasn’t been seen since. [The following is obviously personal opinion - It is a great album; personally, I think it’s at the same level, with somewhat similar themes (i.e., exposing ones vulnerability, hence the title), as the Joni Mitchell album “Blue”, which, ironically, also has just celebrated an anniversary (its 50th). However, ‘Blue’ faces up to the singer’s personal problems squarely, while “Nue” is not ready to do that, and tries to put on a good face/compensate – “J’y crois encore” being a good example of that. The one song that does take a fully direct approach is “Parce que to pars”, the most powerful song on the record. And the one that’s most difficult to sing, hence its general absence from her setlist].
In other news, ‘Charts in France’ had an article on Lara’s updated concert schedule, at (http://www.chartsinfrance.net/Lara-Fabian/news-118088.html). They also mentioned Lara’s vocal problems. Nothing new in either respect in the article, although they did emphasize that the concert in Lille had been “cancelled, not postponed”. And they did mention Lara’s “mysterious new project” again without any further elaboration. The fact that ‘Charts in France’ had no additional news strongly suggests that there is no additional news, on any of these fronts.
In Star Academie news, there is this (https://www.facebook.com/staracademietva/):
“This is the joy on the Star Academy team! The show is nominated in 12 categories at the next Gemini Awards Gala!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Lara’s initial two week cone of silence will gradually be ending this coming week, but depending upon how her vocal cords have improved, it may well be extended. So we may not see many live appearances for some time to come. Hopefully that will not be the case. Stay safe everybody.
