And Lara closed out the experience with an enthusiastic and heartfelt video “thanks” she posted this morning,

and the caption, “Thank you everyone for participating in the charity auction for the benefit of the 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for your generosity... 🌸🌸🌸 I love you 💋💋💋💋💋💋
Lara’s efforts in this regard is Good Karma, for sure! Some of it has already arrived, in the form of Lara’s dog Kayla, and she posted the following picture on her Instagram site,
with the caption, “You know my taste for good food .... well my little Kayla is as greedy as me 😅😂
She is in great shape and always happy to eat the good meals of @faimmuseau which are prepared and produced in Quebec 🥰✌️
We wish you a nice day ... and I can't wait to get back to you ...
I miss you so much 🙏🥰🙏💋💋💋
Eurovision was in the news this past week, and Lara had several comments on it. She posted the following picture on her Instagram account
with the caption, “I'm watching Eurovision right now and I'm touched by this young talent who represents Switzerland 🇨🇭 bravo .... @gjon.s_tears🦋I'm even more touched to hear him sing "je t'aime" when he was still little 🙏🏻♥️ good luck 🍀
The Swiss candidate was Gjon's Tears (Gjon Muharremaj), who sang"Tout l'Univers"; the official video for it can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpM6o6UiBIw.
He won the second semi-final, and finished third overall.
Then she wrote, “What a discovery tonight, Barbara Pravi, I didn't know your universe... and I discover it tonight in awe of your freshness, your talent and the emotion you bring to every word you say... ′′Voilà...′′.. what a lovely word to congratulate you on your achievement...”
She included the picture on her FB and Instagram accounts, e.g.,
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=345347010282932
Barbara Pravi was French entry with the song ‘Voila’, and her official video for it can be found at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9t_SwPN31s
A more complete discussion of her can be found at

She finished second overall.
As you may well know by now, the Italian metal band Måneskin won the 2021 Eurovision contest, with the song “Zitti E Buoni”; an article about it can be found at variety.com/2021/global/global/eurovision-song-contest-2021-1234979500/. In honor of that, Lara posted the following picture on her Instagram site,
and her comment, “Forza Italia Bravi @maneskinofficial”.
And she showed her true feelings in the following video (thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site):
www.facebook.com/larafabiantonautre/videos/301993758137760
As you can see, the embedded caption reads,
“Viva 1 Italia !!!!! Bravi Maneskin,
Rock and roll never dies !!!
This song ROCKS !”
The video for it can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mL6Cmkg2_A
Lara has at least three different countries that she can appropriately root for, so the Eurovision contest can always be a hopeful one for her.
In other news, Lara was on Sucre Sale last night; a clip of the show is available at
www.facebook.com/sucresaleTVA/videos/847305475867092
Her interview with the host Patrice Bélanger took place in a (closed) restaurant, and lasted about 12 minutes. The first part of the show was concerned with Lara’s experiences on Star Academie, and was highly congratulatory, showing clips of Lara’s imparting wisdom, in a humorous fashion, to the academicians, as well as her singing ‘Je suis malade’ on the show. Gabriel then joined them, along with Kayla, which led to a discussion of the Leski Foundation, and then their family life, including their meeting and their both being Italian (brief clips of them visiting Italy from the Lara documentary was shown). It ended with them going to an “eyeglass bar” and Lara trying on some different pairs. The interview got very good reviews, with comments like, “Lara was superb, as always”. This is the start of their 20th season; other times Lara has been on this show are available on Youtube (e.g., 2016, 2018, 2019).
Following the show, Lara posted a picture of herself with the new glasses she bought, at
www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=346696990147934&set=a.259330805551220
Her accompanying text read, “Photo taken in front of my friend Martin's lovely library just after picking up my gorgeous Bar à lunettes frame! I invite you to follow Marie-Sophie Dion's creations in the MSD collection on her website, she also makes custom models for your faces and they are an amazing comfort! www.baralunettes.com”. As you can see, these are the same glasses Lara is wearing in her “thank you” video to fans for purchasing her dresses at the auction for the Leski Foundation.
The Lara Fabian store (https://www.larafabian.shop/?fbclid=IwAR2IFOpUV3-MrHZWa97B-4UG_HNmik26aPCC4Y7pR5BUS5GbT9l8ZmN1KUo) has some new items, with a ‘lockdown’ theme, including a mug and tote bag. There are also more general tee shirts and a few other items. The site, however, still lists ticket availability for the canceled June concerts – they should really fix that – if in fact they were really all cancelled. Tickets for the concert in Belgrade are still being advertised (e.g., starkarena.co.rs/en/lara-fabian-on-june-26-2021-at-stark-arena/), and the place to buy them (https://www.tickets.rs/) still lists them. Several of the other upcoming, and we presume cancelled, concerts are also still being advertised. Most likely these were all set beforehand, and nobody has gotten around to removing them from the web.
As noted on the Lara Fabian est ton autre site, the documentary ′′The 20 years of the Star Academy”, aired on TF1 this past week. Lara was the godmother of the 1st season of Star Academy, and on Prime #7 she can be found, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge_tDU-_uDU
in duo with Jessica on ′′Tout" at 5:57; in duo with Karine on “J’y crois encore” at 1:26:00; and also with what was at the time her new song, “Immortelle” at 1:40:47.
Interesting photo(s) of the week: Lara posted this picture
with a caption, somewhat appropriate for her full week:
“A quiet little Sunday ... in the kitchen ...
Pickled onions
Kale 🥬 roti
Teriyaki salmon and coconut rice
Have a good meal 😋 💋 “
And there are some more pictures of Kayla with Lara, and Gabrielle, from the larafabian_fanpage_:
Heading into June, a time when Lara was expecting to be giving concerts, Lara’s schedule may well be quite light. Time, as she has said, to start work on a new album, and also give consideration to whether she wants to return as director of the Star Academie. That choice could well lead to two very different futures. Meanwhile, stay safe everybody.
