TVA provided an outline of Lara’s coming activities, in the following message: “Over the next few months, Lara will be devoting herself to writing a partially biographical and partly festive book, of which she already has an idea to present to us. She will also start the composition of a new album 💿

Inside was the following translated article. [Basically the same article appeared in (https://www.7jours.ca/2021/05/15/lara-fabian-fait-le-bilan-de-sa-saison-a-star-academie)].

Lara Fabian takes stock of her season at the Star Academie
“It is one of the most beautiful experiences of my whole career”
Thirty years after the release of her first disc in Canada, the link of attachment between Lara Fabian and her adopted country is stronger than ever. If the Quebecois have been able to rediscover her in the last weeks as the directrice of Star Academie, the singer works on other projects which will render her still more accessible.
Directrice of the last season of Star Academie, Lara Fabian left the marathon of 12 weeks with increased energy. “It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire career, one of the most nourishing and the most revealing of where I want to go in my life, which is transmission. It is the conversion, towards others and not just towards myself, of what I managed to learn during three decades. This gift that has been given to me to participate in Star Académie is a pivotal moment for me.”
The most astonishing is that, week after week, the Quebecois have had the impression of rediscovering the woman and the artist during her interactions with the young Academiciens. “I have never had the occasion of being present in the recurring manner in a role different from that of the famous three minutes on television. As an invitee, one often has only a few minutes to express oneself on television and one can not be as natural as one would want.”
In the dailies of the Star Academie, Lara Fabian presented herself ‘au naturel’, rapidly forgetting the cameras of the Waterloo manor. “It gave rise to a lot of visibility to who I truly am. We speak often of this famous dichotomy between the person who sings and who is known and who one is in reality. At home, is it really the same person? I think that the public has been able to find that the human being that I am is very close to the artist that one sees.”
THE SECRET OF LONGEVITY
During the 12 weeks of the adventure, the singer endeavored to transmit all that she could to the Academicians. She recognized, however, that it is impossible to give to them one single and unique general advice to help them to last the possible longtime in this profession. “It is by knowing them a little outside of this adventure that I could be more pointed on what I would suggest to them. I know however that our relation doesn’t stop with the end of this emission. In any case, for those of them who would like to continue to work with me or who would need help, I will be present, it is certain.”
As to knowing if Lara Fabian will still be the directrice of Star Acadmie during the next season, the question has not been decided. “I have no response to this question for the moment. I am presently in the process of thinking about it."
DISCREET GENEROSITY
Since the autumn of 2019, Lara Fabian is the spokesperson of the Leski Foundation, a non-profit organization which has a mission of coming to the aid of people who are victims of criminal acts as well as who suffer from mental health problems or who have a form of autism. “The Foundation makes it possible for them to be more autonomous with the occasional help of a dog. It goes, for example, to assist and accompany them to court, to the hospital or, for a child, to an exam at school." Since it is difficult to do fundraising with the current health regulations, the singer has found another way to help the foundation collect money. “As I could not do shows in the current context, I have decided to offer 13 outfits – which are clothes for the stage or related to an important event for me, like a show in Paris or an honorary presentation with the king and queen of Belgium – which will be auctioned off. These are more than just clothes for me and my fans around the whole world will be able to buy a piece that I’ve worn. It gives me pleasure to be able to contribute in another manner to the foundation."
If she has chosen to implicate herself in this organism, it is first of all because she believes totally in its mission. “I am a child who grew up without animals. In my family, there was a particular rapport with animals. But the day when we adopted Kayla, I learned the benefit that they can bring into a family. It makes only three years that I met the president of the foundation, the same week when I went to get this baby dog. So I was sensitized from the inside. I have lived in my own family the benefit that an animal can bring and how it can contribute to our life. For someone who is not going well, it is enough to pet an animal to get better. And that goes also to help someone who is alone."
The animal who is entrusted by the Leski Foundation is paired with a canine interventionist [dog handler], who will practice the necessary gestures to help the young who have OCD, for example. “It is an association that does concrete things on a daily basis.”
AN INTRIGUING PROJECT
In the last weeks, Lara Fabian was particularly involved in the Star Academie, and one could believe that she would need a vacation. But, always so passionate and full of dreams, she will rather concentrate on different projects, including the writing of a book. “It is not a novel, it is a partly biographical and partly festive story. How more can I say things that I have never said, and how am I going to offer them to the people? To tell your story in an autobiographical manner, that’s one thing, but to tell it around an idea, that would be more interesting.” The creation of an album is also inscribed on her agenda of the coming months.
Lara Fabian must also conclude the tour of her 50th year, which stopped at the midway because of COVID. “Nothing is cancelled for the moment, because there are people who have tickets in hand. We will shift the dates and and will soon announce them for the international market.” For Quebec, the production has already announced the new dates: from June 14-16 2022 at La salle Wilfrid-Pelletier de la Place des Arts, in Montreal, and June 21 at Centre Videotron, in Quebec.

A number of interesting comments here, the first being that Lara is thinking over whether she wants to be the director of the Star Academie next year. This is somewhat of a surprise, but perhaps she is weighing whether she wants to put that much time and energy into the enterprise. Also, completing the 50 World Tour would be a lot easier if her time was not tied up next winter. Lara said, concerning the rescheduling of her 50 World Tour concerts, that “nothing is cancelled for the moment”. These two issues may thus be intertwined.
Another is the ‘book’ which Lara is working on, although TVA has mentioned it previously. Not an autobiography, but one that revolves around some narrative idea…We’ll see if that really comes to fruition.
And one more is her promise of continual availability to the Star Academie contestants. She has referred to this previously, in individual cases, but she seems to have broadened its scope. Whether it would be in the form of personal interactions, or as part of a ‘school’ – which is not at all mentioned in the article, and therefore seems to be less immediate – is probably still to be determined.

Interesting photo(s) of the week: To celebrate the World day combatting homophobia, Lara left a collage of pictures from her photo shoot with Eva Longoria a few years ago, at
www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=341727657311534
It was accompanied by the text, “On this world day to fight homophobia and transphobia, I'm sharing the photos we had done with my friend Eva Longoria Baston under the lens of photographer Olivier Ciappa on the occasion of the campaign ′′Les Imaginary couples"...
As I've sang so much for so many years...
′′The difference, but what difference?′′
🌈♥️🏳️🌈💋
And on a more personal note, there is on her Instagram site, a comment about her beauty products, with accompanying pictures,
and the caption, “Taking some time for myself with a little @cellcosmet_cellmen_official beauty ritual that has been healing my skin for almost 20 years...
So I start my day in good shape...can't wait to be able to announce new concert dates...as well as a few surprises I have in store for you 🤩😋❤️”
As can be seen, Lara is still being rewarded in the Quebec media for her performance on the Star Academie, but that will likely fade with time. We’ll see if anything else comes to the fore in the coming weeks. Stay safe everybody.
