This past week, Lara’s one contribution to the ‘overall welfare’ in these days of social isolating was the following:
“A little message in favor of our little companions ... Our pets are our most loyal friends, and in these special times take good care of them ... do not abandon them, cherish them just as they watch over you ....
I support The Leski Foundation of which I am proud to be the Godmother ... 🙏🙏”
Alongside this, she posted a video of herself with Gabriel and Kayla, at
www.facebook.com/Fondation.leski/videos/546009406275763/
The Leski Foundation then added their own words of wisdom:
-------------------------------
“Even if our dogs are anxious to return to work, for the moment, our priority is to take care of them.
Remember, your pet will never let you down regardless of your condition and mood. He is your most loyal friend you can count on.
Our spokesperson, Lara Fabian and her partner Gabriele, invite you to take the time to cuddle your doggies.
Comforting, they will ease your pain, dispel your pain or simply make you smile.
Thanks Lara. 🌈🌈🌈”

They also then provided a slide show of their service dogs and their volunteer’s dogs, at

Good advice!
There were two publications featuring Lara, both made available by scans from the Lara Fabian – PHQ Facebook site. First from ‘Allo Vedettes’ (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianphq/photos/rpp.353946178085395/2102514859895176/?type=3&theater)

She lost a close one during the pandemic
If Lara seems resigned to follow the rule concerning social distancing, she admits to having recently experienced a difficult moment. In effect, one of her close relatives succumbed, though she didn’t specify if it was on account of the virus. Anyway, she couldn’t have been at his bedside. She explained with emotion: "In France, a grandpa of 102 years to who we were close couldn’t withstand the shock; it is hard not having said goodbye to him." All the team of “Allo Vedettes” offers her our condolences.
A difficult date
Besides living in an uncertain time, confined in the house, the singer just celebrated a sad anniversary. Indeed, her mother died March 30, 2019 from a neurodegenerative sickness. Here is what the 50 year old wrote for the occasion on her social network…"I was landing in Brussels to say a last goodbye…#mama." Recall that the artist was close to her mother and that, in her last years, she suffered seeing her lose it. She revealed that the death of her mother was the saddest moment that she has ever experienced.
Lara received from her fans more than 1000 videos in less than 48 hours.

Then in Tele magazine, Lara was on the cover (https://www.facebook.com/larafabianphq/photos/pcb.2098271410319521/2098271153652880/?type=3&theater); the article is translated below:

Lara Fabian: Her superb musical gift to health care workers
Lara Fabian: This drama is the occasion of waking us up to what there is human in us.
While waiting for the return of The Voice, Lara Fabian put on line “Nos coeurs a la fenetre”, an inspired title for the coronavirus health crisis. All the income will be returned to health care personal from the countries of her heart.
What is the story of this new song?
LF: It is the product of a common momentum of generosity and solidarity, but also of one of emotion felt just after the Italians, kept in confinement, started to sing the national anthem at their windows. It is this moment which made this song be born. Immediately, I got to work, and I solicited my fans, my friends and my relatives around the world. In two weeks, with my long-term collaborators Elodie Hesme and Moh Denebi, we created this title as a bridge between us and the people.
A “bridge” which is going to help health care workers of four of your “root countries”, as you said, since the profits will be entirely donated…
LF: Absolutely. The song is available on the platforms in the whole world since April 10, but all the inherent rights to its visibility will go to the Protection Civile in Italy, to la Fondation Baudoin in Belgium, to Hopitaux de Paris in France and to Centraide du Canada. I give all.
How did you go from the project to the recording and the video clip with personalities like Eva Longoria or Michel Drucker while being in full confinement?
LF: I was inspired by the fifth of the Hungarian Dances of Brahms. My daughter and my husband accompanied me to the studio to sing the choir with Moh Denebi, then I called all the people that I knew, from Eva (Longoria) to Veronic (DiCaire) while passing by Nikos (Aliagas) or Franck Dubosc. We did a kind of round-robin on the telephone. I equally launched an appeal to my fans on social networks and, in forty-eight hours, we received almost 1000 videos. Then the project was finalized thanks to an admirable helping hand from my record company.
You brought out the best in a particularly dramatic period, finally…
LF: I have always been a great resilient. Beyond the obstacle, the anxiety, the emotional shock, there is always a form of teaching. Then there is containment and containment.
There are people who live dramas, our elders who leave without us being able to say goodbye or give them a dignified burial…We are going to live these irreversible post-traumatic shocks. The Covid-19 will not have been the only enemy. There will be equally serious consequences.
What lesson have you already learned from this crisis?
LF: It is time to use our logical and rational mind to be able to realign our priorities and make this drama an opportunity to awaken what is most valiant, courageous, just and humane in us. I also taste every day the chance to have a healthy family, whether it is my father in Brussels or my family in Italy. There are also courageous people who continue to work in hospitals, supermarkets or empty our garbage cans so that the stewardship of our little comfortable lives can be ensured. I learn how immense the power of gratitude is.
Artists like you spend a lot of time on planes. How do you live this forced immobility?
LF: For the past three years, I have seen my family while passing or running so I admit that I enjoy every moment with them. A blessing that I steal with gratitude in this dramatic period.
A word on The Voice whose following has been suspended until it becomes again possible to start up filming…
LF: This year is perhaps one of the most beautiful human adventures, since I did this program in Quebec or in France. With real moments of grace where we do not make television, but where we transmit to the participants all that we have experienced until today.
In what state of mind are your talents awaiting the final stages?
LF: I am regularly in contact with them, alone or via my singing teacher Pierre-Yves Duchesne. We work enormously. Of course, it's not the same as usual, but we're not here to shiver with them. Rather to help them be less afraid through who we are.
One can imagine the emotion of the reunion, postponed until further notice!
LF: Me, who already cries every time a garage door opens, I do not tell you in what state I will be (she laughs).

Beautiful responses from Lara
In much the same vein, Lara also discussed the making and rationale in the video from “Watt’s In”
www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=P5DbWDoQMUk&fbclid=IwAR3ly7-Y1y0ERlHclSBI3HileER1R_ESFvXVPVMhEVwv1QMYBz1i1GE4XvA&app=desktop
Independent of how many people have purchased the audio or video on digital sites, on youtube it has received over 650,000 views. The opinion here still is that this will go down as one of Lara’s greatest songs. Meanwhile, her (also) wonderful cover of “Don’t Worry About Me” has received 1700 views in one week.
As we know, The Voice – la plus belle voix has suspended its broadcasts for the time being due to the coronoa virus. The same is true of La Voix, as discussed in this article in the Journal do Montreal (https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2020/04/28/un-choix-judicieux), translated below:

A wise choice

Tuesday, April 28, 2020 20:40 UPDATE Tuesday, April 28, 2020 20:40
The La Voix team officially made the right decision by suspending their competition for the duration of the pandemic. As for the United States, the American Idol show has chosen to go ahead, presenting since Sunday episodes where candidates and judges perform from the comfort of their homes ... and the result is particularly disappointing.
Exit glamor, rhinestones and glitter. Exit also the lighting, staging and other devices. Above all, it leaves out the audience and the excitement it brings to a singing contest.
Admittedly, the vocal talent remains the same, and it is frankly impressive. But it's still missing that oumph, that spark, that spectacle that usually makes this quest for the next American star so entertaining. Because the show prides itself on finding much more than just singers, but many idols. And an idol worthy of the name deserves, at the very least, a stage ... and an audience.
Social inequalities
But in addition to its propensity for the spectacle, the studio of American Idol allowed a very important thing, that of putting all the candidates on one and the same level of equality. Whatever their social class, they were all entitled to the same styling, hairstyling and makeup team. The same decor. The same lighting designers. In short, the same resources.
However, a certain disparity was particularly evident on Sunday evening, as we passed from one candidate running on a huge terrace overlooking the ocean to another, sitting in an apartment with completely bare walls, installed on a sofa having, let's say, seen better days.
Voice in the world
What about other contests elsewhere in the world? In France, the team at ‘The Voice: la plus belle voix’ took its cue from Quebec. Their live broadcasts, first scheduled for this Saturday, will only take place when containment measures permit. As for the United States, Carson Daly will drive the rest of the season remotely, like the coaches, who will guide their candidates from their respective homes.
-------------------------------------------
In other news, Lara and Celine Dion will be on the same program. As noted in ‘TVA News (thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre site for the link): (https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2020/04/30/une-chance-quon-sa-les-premiers-invites-du-spectacle-devoiles?fbclid=IwAR3c4Ml_Z0Koi9NxWQOyHYyuCL90zK2hABBLRpaWusxYVdPY1993rDdgU5c), here’s the description:

Home NEWS TELEVISION "A CHANCE WE GOT": THE FIRST ...
"Une chance qu’on s’a “ (A chance we got): the first guests of the show revealed
In addition to our little king, Jean-Pierre Ferland, big names such as Ginette Reno, Lara Fabian and Marc Dupré have confirmed their presence at the show, which will be broadcast simultaneously by TVA and Télé-Québec on Sunday, May 10, Mother's Day evening. . And it's not over!
With an advance list of more than 80 personalities who will speak for a testimony or offer a performance during this special 90-minute program without advertising breaks, designed in partnership with the government of Quebec, and whose title refers to the iconic song by Jean-Pierre Ferland, il est permis de rêver (it is permissible to dream).
A first draft of a dozen known names was revealed on Thursday morning (see box), but we let it shine that still many other singers, comedians, humorists, dancers and authors will be in the game. Let's speculate a bit.
Celine Dion, who participated last Sunday in the Canadian meeting "Stronger Together - Tous Ensemble" and, a week earlier, in the benefit concert "One World - Together At Home" could she be there? Many already assume that it is, given that the Quebec diva was content to send a bilingual message of hope to the country during its appearance on "Stronger Together - Tous Ensemble", without however singing. Céline wanted to keep her vocal cords in shape to better pamper Quebec a few days later?
The singer has also often collaborated with the troops of Productions Déferlantes ("La Voix", "La vrai nature"), who orchestrate "Une chance que lui" in the past, notably for the major interview "Céline now”, which Marie-Claude Barrette was leading in 2016. It may not be unrealistic to hope for a wink from her part in“ Une chance que lui ”.
Otherwise, we can imagine that the headliners of “La Voix”, whether they are the Coeur de pirate coaches, Pierre Lapointe and Garou, the host Charles Lafortune, or former winners or finalists, such as Geneviève Jodoin, Yama Laurent or Ludovick Bourgeois, will commit during the evening.
Will we also be entitled to a reunion of former “Star Académie” graduates, given that Productions Déferlantes is currently working on a new version of reality TV for the winter of 2021? Here then; the 2012 cohort of "Star Ac" met precisely (at a distance!), in March, at the start of confinement, for an interpretation of their theme play "You and me", whose video of course caused a sensation on the web . Another avenue to explore?
"Stepettes" of the dancers of "Revolution", Guylaine Tanguay, Alex Nevsky ... The possibilities are endless, and the opportunities to create magic numbers are just as numerous.
Furnished studio
One thing is certain, at Productions Déferlantes, we are working hard to set up a memorable meeting, which will salute the courage of Quebecers in this difficult period of pandemic and will extend our hat to the invaluable work of the “guardian angels” of the community of health.
It is to Daniel Laurin, accustomed to the concepts of large-scale varieties ("Revolution", "The Voice", "Belle and Bum", etc.) that the realization of "A chance that we have".
Unlike other recent tributes, it is not only from their home that the stars of "Une chance que lui" will perform. Filming of different segments will begin this weekend, in a studio specially fitted out according to government guidelines on physical distance. Other portions recorded outside will also be added to the montage.
“We have assembled an extraordinary team for this production. I can't believe the quality of the team on this. We could do all our shows with this world, that would be extraordinary! For the moment, we are still building the show. But I can say that we work from morning to night, with Télé-Québec and TVA, and we are moving forward! ” said Jean-Philippe Dion, vice-president of content and strategy at Productions Déferlantes, in an interview with Agence QMI, earlier this week, about "A chance that we have".
“A chance that we have” will also allow us to collect donations for two essential organizations in these tumultuous hours: Les Petits Frères, whose mission is to break the isolation of the elderly, and SOS domestic violence. You can contribute now at unechancequonsa.quebec.
"A chance that we have", Sunday May 10, at 7:30 p.m., without advertising breaks, simultaneously with TVA and Télé-Québec.
----------------------------
And then, in a follow-up article that indicated the speculation was right (https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2020/05/04/celine-dion-confirme-sa-presence-a-une-chance-quon-sa#cxrecs_s):
------------------------------
Céline Dion participates in the show "Une chance que lui"
Many predicted it: Céline Dion will take part in the big show "Une chance on lui", which will be broadcast simultaneously by TVA and Télé-Québec next Sunday, May 10.
"With all my heart with the Québécois, the singer, known for her great generosity, wishes to show her deep solidarity, especially to all those who are devoted at the moment to help the most vulnerable and save lives", we can read in a press release sent on Monday.
"I am proud to take part in" Une chance que lui "," said Céline Dion. It is so important to pay tribute to the people from here in Quebec who are all fighting together against COVID-19. I will be with you this Sunday to recognize the efforts of our Guardian Angels. ”
Jean-Pierre Ferland, Ginette Reno, Lara Fabian, Marc Dupré, Guylaine Tremblay, Pier-Luc Funk, the actors of "Passe-Partout", les Trois Accords, Koriass and Pierre-Yves Lord must also take part in the event of 90 minutes, which will be shown without advertising breaks, starting at 7:30 p.m. Filming began over the weekend, under the direction of director Daniel Laurin. The show is produced by Productions Déferlantes.
In total, more than 80 artists will take part in the "Une chance que lui" gathering, held in partnership with the Government of Quebec, which will allow donations to be raised for the benefit of the organizations Les petits frères and SOS Violence conjugal. . We can make a donation now at unechancequonsa.quebec .
---------------------------------
The focus of the program would seem to cover a wide variety of targets: health care workers, the elderly, domestic violence, and of course mothers! All objects of compassion in this time of stress.
As we know, it is rare for Lara and Celine to appear on the same show, even though it probably will not be ‘together’. The list of participating celebrities they are promulgating, presumably in order of importance to the Quebec public, reads: Céline Dion; Jean-Pierre Ferland; Ginette Reno; Lara Fabian; Marc Dupré….. Lara has certainly cemented her prominence in Quebec…

We remain in a holding pattern with some slight relaxation, in France, Quebec and most other places, but there is no change where entertainment requiring crowds is concerned. When that will resume is anybody’s guess, and guess it is, since we’re in uncharted waters. The best one can get now is what TVA is doing, bringing people in to a well-designed, sanitized and protected studio; events of this nature may have to become common place (but as TF1 has indicated, that will not be how The Voice will be resumed). We’ll see what else Lara can become involved in during the coming weeks. Stay safe, everybody.

And then, in a follow-up article that indicated the speculation was right (https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2020/05/04/celine-dion-confirme-sa-presence-a-une-chance-quon-sa#cxrecs_s):

The interesting photo(s) of the day: from the first of the Lara Fabian – PHQ scans discussed above:

Lara looks a little tired in that picture, or maybe she’s just resigned.
And then, as a complete change of pace, from ‘The Voice’ as shown by the Lara Fabian est ton autre site,
