While Lara is away on vacation, the big news relates to her new website (yes, an actual URL). As you may remember, Lara effectively ‘decommissioned’ her longtime site, larafabian.com; when one went there in the past number of months, it said that it was no longer active. Now, however, there are stirrings – it says that it will be “online soon”, and is "getting a makeover".
Perhaps that will mean it will look more like the new larabian.ca site, which is up and running. On it are places to buy tickets for her three upcoming Quebec shows as part of the ’50 World Tour’; links to on-line sites where one can play or buy ‘Papillon’; and, most intriguing, an opportunity to subscribe to her newsletter. Perhaps the more general larafabian.com site will have links to buy tickets to all of the shows (though it would be too much to hope that it would also provide links for her other albums).
The newsletter is obviously a new feature, though Lara has tried something like that in the past. For a few years (2005-2008) she had a paid subscription membership that was supposed to provide special prices for items and concerts, as well as a monthly magazine ‘Farfallina’ (Butterfly in Italian), related to the nickname (Farfalla) her grandmother had given her. Eventually the magazine ceased publication, and those ‘specials' never materialized, so the ‘membership’ ended up worthless (the whole thing was initially run by her father, who seemed to lose interest in it). This current offer is not associated with any charge, and it’s easy to register for it. We’ll see what it produces; other singers have similar ‘newsletters’ that one signs up for, and, at least in my experience, they consist primarily of an advertisement for a new product or concert. It would be nice if it tended more to the ‘Farfallina’-type publication which, while it lasted, contained real news, including articles Lara would write, pictures, etc. in a glossy publication.
Interestingly, Lara did not post this information on her FB site. One would think that if they wanted a strong showing for the newsletter they would optimize their audience via Facebook (with her 1.2 million likes). Alternatively, although not very likely, maybe the newsletter is only for Quebec, since so far it’s only on the larafabian.ca site that it’s being advertised. Perhaps her ‘people’ will get around to it on Facebook, on the larafabian.com URL, and even on Instagram.
What Lara did post on her FB site while on vacation is another food picture, at:

with the caption, “Gluten free pasta and seafood…absolutely divine”. You may know that Lara discovered in the last few years that she doesn’t do well digesting gluten (which perhaps may have been the cause of her eating problems over the years), and she complained that ‘for an Italian’, that is quite limiting. Hopefully she has found something that checks all her appropriate boxes.
And then there was this picture, as relayed by the Lara Fabian est ton autre site,

with the included caption, “The beauty of the landscape”. Makes one want to be there!
In other news, last week Lara noted that ‘Dimash’ had ‘let the beans spill' that he would be doing a duet with her. As noted on Lara’s Twitter site (https://twitter.com/search?q=Lara%20Fabian%20Official&src=typd) back on March 4th Igor Krutoy had a ‘Twitter’ post, that reads:
“3 November will be my anniversary concert in VTB Arena in Moscow. And I will perform with: Lara Fabian, Andrea Bocelli, @dimash_official Dimash Kudaibergen, Aida Garifullina, etc. And every song will be to the accompaniment with ice skating. Very big show! pic.twitter.com/0wjWPoVOMl”
So it will be a very big show indeed.
[Lara does not promote her Twitter site; even on her ‘being made over’ URL, she provides links only to the Facebook and Instagram sites].
Speaking of the tour, on Lara’s official FB site, some 25 dates are listed in the ‘Events’ category. In contrast, the Lara Fabian Bien Plus Qu’une Passion FB site lists 45 dates, along with the links for the tickets, at
As with the case of not mentioning the newsletter, it seems as if the people in charge of her FB site have not been very rigorous about keeping it up to date, in ways that could actually hurt her career. On the other hand, they seem to have been very successful in lining up all these dates, which must have taken a lot of work.
From the expanded list, one sees that ‘freed up’ from the need to be available for La Voix, Lara has been able to add various dates in January through March, all in the ‘two weeks on, two weeks off’ mode allowing her and her backup singers to return to Quebec periodically. As it stands, it now ends with the concerts in Quebec in early April but so far does not include some of the places Lara mentioned last week in her Instagram chat (Turkey, Athens, London, Spain, Dubai, maybe even Cairo). So there’s plenty of room for them to follow, and bring the total to even above ‘50’.
As one might expect, there were numerous articles of ‘regret’ that Lara would not be on season 8 of La Voix in 2020. One such appeared at (https://hollywoodpq.com/lara-fabian-ne-reviendra-pas-a-la-voix-lan-prochain/); here’s a translation of part of it.

We struggle to pick up our crumbs spread across the floor ... We learned this morning that the beautiful coach of La Voix so beloved by the Quebec public (and winner of the last season) will not be back in the red armchair a third year, at least, not for the eighth season, in the winter of 2020.
It's a question-and-answer session with her fans from all over the world, live on Instagram, that Lara Fabian announced the sad news. She shared some details about her new World Tour 50 tour, with which she will fly to several countries, before answering a Quebec admirer who wondered about her role as a coach at La Voix …(and here it just quotes Lara saying they tried but couldn’t fit it in with her tour schedule, as was included in last week’s Update).
Lara must now pass the torch to another coach. Who would you see as a replacement? One thing is certain, she will be very difficult to replace in our hearts!

For the ‘interesting photos’ of the week, we choose a video, from the Lara Fabian US Tour website, an early view of Lara singing a portion of “Tu t’en vas”, at
www.facebook.com/lara.fabian.us/videos/2386429204970876/
As their caption says, Lara looks very sweet there.
And from the ‘Lara Fabian Bien Plus Qu’une Passion: Corse Reunion” site, a quite interesting picture, at

There was some indication that Lara’s vacation may end after this week, given her need to continue rehearsing for the tour that starts in September; we’ll see.
