This past week Lara fulfilled her position as spokesperson for Foundation Leski. To summarize the evening, devoted to bringing in money to help support those who have suffered as victims or from mental illnesses by providing service animals, the following (translated) was posted on their website by the head of the foundation, Hueguette (https://www.facebook.com/Fondation.leski/):
--------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, during our first night-benefit, we lived several emotions.
- Our spokesperson, Lara Fabian, has been once again the most generous. Lara, thank you for being so big;
- Gabriele and Kayla, have shown us how much a human-dog relationship could be so blended. Gabriele, your sensitivity is touching
- Ingrid Cliff animated this open-heart evening. Without you Ingrid, this evening wouldn't have had the same color. Thank you Ingrid;
- Huguette St-Denis, thanks to your endearing personality, you conquered the room. Now, let the magic happen to you and yours. Thank you for your trust;
- Lise and Brigitte, the parents of autism would have less hope without you. Thank you for illuminating the path and giving a voice to those who can't speak... our language. Your support touches us right to the heart;
- Sylvain Guimond, we'll be waiting for you for hours. Thank you for doing so much good with your words. You are a great man Sylvain;
- Élise Rozon, thanks to your great generosity, the foundation now has an assured future. You are now part of our big family. We will be forever grateful for you;
- Finally Charles Lafortune, Benjamin Gratton and Mathieu Gratton, thank you for accepting to produce your videos. Your benevolence will penetrate the screen;
- All that remains is for you to leave yourself on a few images captured during our memorable evening yesterday.
Thank you to all the volunteers and artisans without whom this event could not have come true.
Together, let's build a better world.
-------------------------------------------------------
Afterwards, Lara had her own things to say:
“Memories of the evening @fondation_leski... a huge thank you all particularly to Mrs. Rozon, our generous donor, as well as to all those who have allowed to make the actions of the foundation to continue even more in the service of those who need it... my heart thanks you warmly... #fondationleski #charity #helpothers”. And she posted the following pictures:

Once again, “The Leski Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated in Quebec, whose mission is to help victims of crime as well as people suffering from mental health disorders and individuals with spectrum disorders. of autism. The aim is to offer assistance with service animals to support people who want to overcome their disability in their daily lives, increase their autonomy and avoid social exclusion.” As related in the article in the Journal of Montreal last week, Lara volunteered to be the spokesperson for them. One can see how this relates to Lara, given her natural empathy as well as the problems she went through with her mother.
Before returning for this event, Lara finished up her ‘mini-marathon promotion’ for Papillon in France. There was a further discussion of her appearance on France 3 Picardie; a video of Lara’s appearance there on the show “Vous etes formidables” can be seen at

Lara Fabian: "Papillon is a totem that reminds me of the urgency of being here and now"
20 million albums sold and 30 years of career, it is Lara Fabian who returns with her 14th album Papillon . All in depth and humility, the singer confides in 'Vous êtes formidables'. We are stronger if we are, not only able to love, but also to let ourselves be loved.
Do not betray your music while continuing to advance in creation. Staying in her time, living the present moment and wanting to write continuously, these are the wishes that the singer Lara Fabian made for her new opus: "My songs start from the desire for a melody that we can remember and a text you can connect to."
Papillon is an electro-pop album whose eleven tracks are anchored in our contemporary era while remaining contemplative, like the singer. "I like to say for a laugh, that you no longer wear baggy pants or large collars. And in music, it's a little bit the same thing. There is a way to stay in one’s time without necessarily betraying the DNA of who I am."
A ballad that transports us is the song 'Par amour'. It shows us the strength to go beyond our own limits: "This song is about resilience, it tells the story of two people who are experiencing a hurricane in their lives and who, thanks to this capacity for love, arrive to get by."
In the clip, a man on crutches is on the floor, he gets up. He manages to walk and embarks on an impressive break dance. A woman is at her side, with her fingertips, she gives another rhythm, that of flamenco. "We were two twin souls, we knew how to protect our wings, and they were locked in front of the eternal ...", sings Lara Fabian.
These two characters are the dancer-choreographers Lazylegz and Rocio Vadillo Molina. Together, they finally create a sinuous and loving waltz. "These dancers are two stars in their universe, flamenco and break dance Luca is a paraplegic boy who teaches and transmits dance beyond his limits," says the singer.
In the eleven songs of this new album, Lara Fabian hopes to offer her idea of happiness.
As a child, the singer's grandmother nicknamed her "butterfly". Butterfly, for this little ephemeral, graceful and enchanting insect which, for some species, lives only one day. That's why Lara Fabian says you need, like a butterfly "to have the ability to taste the moment and realize that the times we are given are sometimes a little more limited than we think. Do not be worried about tomorrow or yesterday's nostalgia. A butterfly is a totem that reminds me of the urgency of being here and now.
Songs that sometimes exceed the artist, example with the title "Je t’aime" hummed in all languages by all her fans. "It's so moving, the fact that this song is sung in countries where you can not speak the language or the theme, even if "I love you ", it's universal. Which makes us have something in common, we are not in division, but rather in unity, that's what music is, it's unity. "
Lara Fabian will be performing at the Roubaix Coliseum on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 and the singer will celebrate her 50th birthday on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Forest National in Brussels.

Lara Fabian: how she lives with the critics about her age difference with Gabriel, her young husband
In a relationship with 36-year-old Gabriel Di Giorgio, singer Lara Fabian has confided to Femme Actuelle in Faustine's Cuisine about her age difference with her husband and how she fights critics.
"What worried me was the other people's eyes." Lara Fabian was Faustine Bollaert's guest in Faustine's Kitchen for Current Woman and at the turn of a gourmet dish, the two women talked about love story of the singer with her beautiful Italian Gabriel Di Giorgio. After the death of her mother only a few weeks ago, Patrick Fiori's ex-partner talked about the age difference between her and her companion and her tips on countering criticism. Indeed, Gabriel Di Giorgio is 36 years old while Lara Fabian is 49 years old. Often criticized for marrying a man so young, she now has her little method ...
"The first night I said, 'I'm not a girl your age you know', then I realized that what worried me was a lot more the view of others than my own view of this difference of age," she explains. It must be said that for six years, the interpreter of Je t'aime has had time to forge a carapace: "At one point, I 'went' to another call' as they say in Quebec, it does not did not really touch. I have seen these looks, but honestly, they do not belong to me." How to silence the bad language!
---------------------------------------------------
In the interview, Lara indicated that Gabriel really had no idea how old she was when she asked. Pictures from the appearance can be found at

5 Things To Know About Lara Fabian
1. In love with languages
Lara Fabian recorded during her career songs in French, English, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Hebrew and even Turkish!
2. The men of her life
In 1990, Lara meets Rick Allison in Brussels. It is with him that she really starts her career. They will eventually separate in 2003.
In 2006, the singer met the producer Gérard Pullicino, the father of hr daughter, Lou born in 2007. The couple separated in 2012.
Since 2013, the artist has married the Italian musician Gabriel Di Giorgio.
3. The accident
In May 2013, Lara receives a 1 kHz signal in her headset on a set.
With damaged eardrums, she must cancel her tour and do everything to recover, at best.
4. Dance fan
As a child, she dreamed of being a ballerina! Judged "too big", she will have to give up her dream, but she still regularly attends ballets ...
A perfect candidate for "Dancing with the Stars"?
5. Coach
In 2013, the singer had her first role as judge on "The Best: The Best Artist".
She also helps Florent Pagny and Garou as a secondary coach in "The Voice" on TF1.
But it is finally in Canada that Lara takes possession of the red chair as official coach of "La Voix".
-------------------------------------------
In Quebec Lara has been having many media opportunities, and one can give a lot of the credit for that to TVA and their desire to promote her. In Europe it is conceivable that Warner Music France may help, as she is still listed as ‘one of their artists’ (http://www.warnermusic.fr/Artistes), but one suspects the greater part of the credit should go to Lara’s team. Whoever is involved, they certainly lined up a number of opportunities for her during this short stay.
[BTW, if one clicks on Lara’s name at the above link, it goes to the ‘larafabian.com’ website – which is shown to be ‘expired’. So Lara has given up her URL, rather than continually update it. Her team’s point of view is that nobody goes to URLs anymore, just social media; but check out celinedion.com or bobdylan.com for an alternate point of view. And if you think her position is representative of ‘Quebec’ artists, go to ericlapoint.com. Perhaps Lara just doesn’t have the manpower to keep such a site going in a truly informative – and commercial – way, which is really strange for a star of her magnitude].
Last week Lara appeared in person and met with fans for ‘Chante France’. The link to the full video of “Je t’aime”, as well as a segment of “Par amour” was available. Now, Lara provided, on her FB site, the link to the full video of “Par amour”, which can be seen at

with the caption from Lara,
“The Secret of happiness? The secret is to realize that joy is really at the center of self and not outside. It involves understanding how precious we are and how strong and fragile we are at the same time and it is normal to be that..." Lara Fabian.
With her promotion in France at an end, Lara has one event still planned for later this month in Quebec, the benefit to help recent flood victims in the province. And Eric Lapointe posted on his facebook page the guest list for the “Festival d'été” of Québec on July 9, and Lara was listed along with numerous others. Summer starts this coming week…Lara usually has gone to Sicily at some point, and she does have her 50 World Tour to work on. We’ll see whether anything else pops up.
