Lara’s promotion continued in Europe, and the last of the ‘blind auditions’ for La Voix took place, the lead stories in the past week. This time we’ll start with La Voix (again, we’re one week behind), as several controversies ‘erupted’ in the fifth week of blind auditions. Here are the details:
**As mentioned succinctly on the show, a candidate who had already been accepted by Eric LaPointe was later disqualified. One can find the details at (http://showbizz.net/2019/03/11/on-en-sait-plus-sur-le-candidat-expulse-de-la-voix/); here’s the translation:
----------------------------------------------
An out of the ordinary situation for the popular show.
Last week, it was learned through a statement sent by TVA that a candidate had been removed from the vote after being found guilty of serious criminal charges.
Thus, it was confirmed that the candidate would never be shown on the screen, since he had been completely cut in the editing. By the same token, Éric Lapointe's team was complete with only 11 candidates instead of 12. Fortunately for the production of the show, this candidate had not gone to the Direct stages, which would have further complicated the thing ...
A message recorded for this purpose by Charles Lafortune was broadcast Sunday during La Voix, generating its share of curiosity among viewers. Now the journalist Hugo Dumas unveils a little more about the candidate expelled this morning in LaPresse + .
It would be Tim Gaudreau, a 36-year-old naturopath from Sherbrooke, who was convicted of assault with an injury, breaking and entering and criminal harassment of his ex-spouse.
Here are the facts: after hearing that she had seen a friend again, he would have been in a fit of jealousy. He went to her home, grabbed her by the hair and then threw her to the ground, all under the frightened eyes of her 5-year-old son. The young woman had to hide to call the police.
This happened two weeks before the start of the blind auditions, yet the candidate managed to sneak into the net and carve out a place in the competition. The verification to be made of each candidate's past was lacking at this level.
The editing of the show had to be redone urgently, but they had to explain the situation to the viewers minimally to justify an absence in the team of Eric Lapointe. La Voix production team said it was "zero tolerance" for this kind of offense. We hope so!
Bet the show team will learn from this story.
--------------------------------------------
Eric Lapointe then commented (http://showbizz.net/2019/03/13/eric-lapointe-commente-lexclusion-du-candidat-de-son-equipe-a-la-voix/):
--------------------------------------
"It's a shame because we had to readjust everything, but that said, it's out of our control and we managed anyway so that it does not disadvantage the candidate against whom he was dueling. You'll see, we've done some magic", says the coach right away.
To know if he feels that his team is at a disadvantage with only 11 candidates rather than 12 like the other coaches, Éric Lapointe answers: "No, not at all. We managed to make it fair for everyone, especially for the candidate who was dueling against the excluded and won his duel. The magic of TV ... Actually, it may be reversed for an asset for him."
-------------------------------------------
Apparently, they had filmed the duel before they found out, so both shows had to be ‘edited’. The candidate in question noted that his case is being appealed, and should the verdict be overturned, then he was removed unfairly.
**Then there was the controversy with one of the candidates David Buteali. Here’s the (translated) story in detail (https://vedettequebec.com/2019/03/10/ce-candidat-a-la-voix-2019-na-pas-du-tout-apprecie-le-commentaire-de-lara-fabian-en-direct/):
---------------------------------------
This candidate for La Voix 2019 did not appreciate Lara Fabian's comment live
La Voix continued its last round of Blind Auditions tonight. It was once again the opportunity to see some of Quebec's great talents in front of coaches Alex Nevsky, Eric Lapointe, Marc Dupré and Lara Fabian.
The second candidate of the evening created a lot of discomfort ... Indeed, Davide Bazzali, of Italian origin, lived something very particular.
No coach turned around for his performance in Italian ... something that he did not seem to like. He was very surprised ... He said:
"I had hope that someone would like what I'm doing, but that ..."
Lara Fabian complimented him, but he seemed really insulted. Even his girlfriend was looking at him with arms in the air, meaning that she did not understand why the coaches had not turned around.
After Davide quickly left the scene, Éric Lapointe told Lara that he had taken it wrong ...
It is rare to see such a situation and such discomfort on the set of La Voix.
Even columnist Hugo Dumas openly criticized the production of the show and the coaches, saying that they should have turned around. In his opinion, Davide was better than the first candidate of the evening Émilie.
---------------------------------
Here is a comment from the participant (https://vedettequebec.com/2019/03/16/suite-au-gros-malaise-avec-lara-fabian-davide-bazzali-de-la-voix-reagit-finalement/):
----------------------------------------
Following the big discomfort with Lara Fabian, Davide Bazzali of La Voix finally reacts
Davide Bazzali's performance at La Voix caused a lot of controversy last week.
The participant who gave an absolutely phenomenal performance of the song Caruso did not deserve a place among the 4 coaches.
A great discomfort with Lara Fabian followed.
Obviously, this situation has caused many comments on social networks, including one that has particularly reacted.
YESTERDAY EVENING FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF DAVIDE BAZZALI WHO MADE A REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE AND WITH GREAT TALENT, HIS PERFORMANCE WITH THE SONG CARUSO HE SANG WAS MUCH BETTER THAN OTHER CANDIDATES WHO PRESENTED IN THEIR TURN, AND WHO WERE CHOSEN AND THAT IN MY OPINION THEIR SHOWING WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE NEXT AFTER DAVIDE FOR WHOM 2 PEOPLE TURNED AROUND AND NOT ONE FOR HIM. HARD TO FOLLOW.
I DO NOT KNOW BECAUSE HE'S ITALIAN, OR ONE DOES NOT LIKE THE MUSICAL STYLE, YET WITH THIS VOICE HE CAN SING ANY SONG.
WHEN THE COMMENT OF LARA FABIAN THE WHOLE THING REALLY WAS NOT IN PLACE IN MY OPINION, FOR A GREAT LADY OF THE SONG NOT TOO PROFESSIONAL ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF PUBLIC. MOREOVER WHEN WE GO ON THE PAGE OF LA VOIX, THE PERFORMANCES OF THE ARTISTS YESTERDAY ARE THERE BUT NOT HIS, WEIRD.
The singer Davide Bazzali has also responded Friday to this comment that has greatly affected.
THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING A MINUTE TO COMMENT ON MY PASSAGE TO THE VOICE.
EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN TASTES AND EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS IT. IT IS CERTAIN THAT PERSONALLY I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO CONTINUE THE COMPETITION, LIKE MANY OTHERS BESIDES ...
MA LA VITA CONTINUED!
I LEAVE YOU THE LINK OF MY RESTAURANT "IL BAZZALI" WHICH MAKES ME SO PROUD!
IT WILL BE A PLEASURE TO WELCOME YOU.
We would have liked to see him in the adventure!
-----------------------------------------------
Lara’s comment seemed to imply that singing a song just so you could show off a big voice, without the complimentary emotion, was not desirable. She later said you don’t tell an Italian he doesn’t know how to sing an Italian song. Known as the ‘opera singing chef’, one can see an example of his capabilities at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAr6rt2POSY
As was apparent last year, La Voix is really mis-named: it is not a show that celebrates ‘the voice’, but the performance. Many inferior voices gain acceptance from these judges, while classical voices do not, perhaps because they are not deemed properly commercial (or the judges don't know how to work with them). While this example received publicity because of his reaction, Karane Boucher also gave an operatic performance during the second episode, with “O mio babbino caro”. That performance can be seen at
www.facebook.com/watch/?v=381049792708305
and it also got no support from the judges. Ultimately, one has to realize this is a commercial show and celebrates acts that will be supported by the public at large, not a show in which elite vocal talent is the determinant. A program in which rap gets a positive response (as happened here), and opera does not, should not be considered a primarily vocal competition.
**Lara picked up her last two team members, Sebastien Gravel, a rhythm and blues singer, and Eric Bernier, who sang an intense ballad. In the last several weeks Lara passed on a number of women performers…one wonders whether she intentionally wanted to make the gender component of her team more equal (it is now 7 women and 5 men).
**Several of the female candidates, especially Rosalie Roberge who joined Alex’s team, were exceptionally ecstatic at having been chosen. In both cases, the judges commented on the women's "personalities" as being exceptional.
**Alex was the last person with an ‘incomplete’ team, and it came down to the last candidate, Emmanuelle Boucher. Fortunately, she was sensational, and Alex was very happy with that necessary choice. Lara and the other judges were outwardly jealous that they could not ‘bid’ on her. Being in the last position is dangerous – perhaps the show would have ended before her appearance if all of the judges had full teams – but she lucked out, and so did Alex.
IMHO, Marc has the best team, while Alex is second, Lara third and Eric fourth. That probably doesn’t really matter, since only one candidate ‘survives’ from each of the judges, and you only need to have one to ‘win’. Also…in comparison with last year, there seemed to be a number of ‘sub-par’ singers this season (some of whom were nevertheless picked to teams), emphasizing again the 'performance' metric (or maybe by now, pure vocal talents know not to apply).
On to Lara’s promotion in Europe: many media events, as expected, since Lara is making March the month to support this album. In no particular order, here are some of them (all text has been translated).
1)Lara appeared in the show Les Terriens du samedi, with a short video (1:18) available at (https://www.voici.fr/tele/video-lara-fabian-pourquoi-elle-a-bien-failli-passer-a-cote-de-sa-belle-histoire-damour-avec-son-mari-gabriel-657343?amp&fbclid=IwAR1JKHTni90lkwcQYAUElgNBQMYA43yConEKBawicD8AMk57SXiZ5j7MTgc).

VIDEO Lara Fabian: why she almost missed out on her beautiful love affair with her husband Gabriel
16/03/2019 at 21:12 by Laura Buys
Lara Fabian was invited on the set of the show Les Terriens on Saturday, March 16th. Filled with happiness, the singer returned with emotion to the meeting that changed her life: her love at first sight with her husband Gabriel.
She had not met Thierry Ardisson for 14 years. Lara Fabian was part of the guests of Les Terrans Saturday, March 16. Coming to present 'Papillon' - her fourteenth album released last February - the singer has particularly confided on her "crossing the desert". Regularly criticized or even mocked, she could not stand the malicious remarks or caricatures she was subject to. "I was just the one who yells. We say it once, we say it twice, it's funny ... The problem is not criticism. It's when it’s malicious. Me, I have no problem with the fact that we like or do not like a song, that we like or do not like the theme that I approach, that we like or do not like my voice ... But after translating it that way, with such wickedness ...”, she explained to the man in black.
In this rather dark period, the interpreter of "J'y crois encore" still was saved by a ray of sunshine. Hired on the musical 'Casanova' as a vocal coach, she crossed the road of a certain Gabriel Di Giorgio - professor and also member of the troupe. Between these two, the magic operates immediately. "One evening, they both go to the seaside. They are side by side, and at the same time they see two stars moving," said Thierry Ardisson. A moment of absolute romance that made Lara Fabian want to embrace her beautiful Italian, but an obstacle prevents it.
"There was a question, I told him, "Do you know how old I am?" And he:"No". At the time, I knew very very well that he was relatively younger than me [...] We have 12 years of difference. Then he types two-three absolutely wrong ages. So, I tell him, "Not so much, I'm 42". Okay, he does, "And?", she explained. Fears and doubts quickly flew away to give way to a beautiful love story that no longer counts the number of years.
-------------------------------
Actually, Lara has repeatedly said it was not love at first sight on her part…
2) With more on the first part of the discussion, (https://www.voici.fr/news-people/actu-people/video-lara-fabian-nest-plus-fachee-contre-yann-barthes-apres-ses-moqueries-a-repetition-657339):

VIDEO (1:22) Lara Fabian is no longer angry with Yann Barthes after repeated mockery
16/03/2019 at 19:02 by Jules Legendre
The singer Lara Fabian has often been the target of the jokes of the moderator of Quotidien, Yann Barthes. Mockery that may have hurt her at one time, but of which she assures today that she has turned the page.
In the Petit Journal on Canal + and for three years in Quotidien on TMC, Yann Barthès and his team have never departed from a certain humor, always fair, but sometimes acid. If the political figures - main targets - are broken at this kind of criticism, it is sometimes more difficult for other personalities to accept the mockery with so much phlegm. Lara Fabian is one of them.
For a long time, the singer was mocked by Yann Barthes and her teams, just as she was by Les Guignols - who have rarely missed an opportunity to joke about her famous titles or be her mimics. Invited in the TV show "On refait la tele" on RTL, Lara Fabian came back on these different attacks. If she admits to having received them badly at one time, the singer seems to have turned the page today. To the point of being ready to be received by Yann Barthes on the set of Quotidien. "Of course I would (...) There must be surely be plenty of nonsense that I have said and do and it would be funny to laugh together”, indicated Lara Fabian. Making fun of myself, this is perhaps one of the things I like most", she assured. Moreover, Lara Fabian assures it, it is not for want of trying to pick up the pieces with the moderator of Quotidien. "I sent him a beautiful bouquet of orchids to ask him if he could just receive me to have at least one discussion to stop this relentlessness that seems to me rather unjustified in the sense that it makes me look like the woman the biggest idiot of the earth ...", says Lara Fabian, still bitter.
If she did not get an answer, the singer ensures that this time, she decided to turn the page. “I've let go : what use is it that I hit and am obstinate? I'm going to have 50 brooms, I have a magic family, I have fans who are still here thirty years later, I'm filling rooms. I will still not go jumping on a guy who does not like me!" Well said.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Lara may have turned the page, but she still feels strongly about this subject – as she should. The business of her being boycotted by Yann Barthes from 'Quotidien' is now the subject of a number of different articles, e.g., www.lexpress.fr/actualite/medias/lara-fabian-boycottee-par-quotidien-avec-yann-barthes-c-est-je-t-aime-moi-non-plus_2067903.html.

VIDEO (0:59) Lara Fabian deep in love in front of the adorable message of her husband Gabriel
Since 2013, Lara Fabian is married to the Italian magician Gabriel Di Giorgio. A man who fills her with happiness and who sent her, Thursday, March 14, a very cute video message in 'Touche pas à mon poste'. The singer was very touched.
If Lara Fabian smiles so much, it is largely thanks to the man who shares her life. Since the singer has married the Italian magician Gabriel Di Giorgio in 2013, she is swimming in happiness. And if their age difference has sometimes surprised, it does not affect their relationship: "Age is only a number", she assured Paris Match. "I am with a young guy of 36 who is not with a girl of 50 years, but with the woman he loves." And we can say that he really loves her like a crazy person, like a soldier, like a movie star! On the occasion of the arrival of Lara Fabian in ‘Touche pas à mon poste’ this Thursday, March 14, Gabriel Di Giorgio recorded for her a video bursting with love. Under the Canadian snow, where he is waiting for his beauty, who is currently working in Europe, he has declared his passion and asked a most touching question.
Marveled, Lara Fabian could see him appear on the screen of TPMP: "My love! Good evening, my love, what are you beautiful, my love”, exclaimed her husband. “Lara, I had a little question to ask you my love of my life: do you think that one day, we will come to dinner together? I'm waiting for you, my love! I take this moment to tell you how much I love you." Waiting, the singer had the jaw on the verge of stalling in the face of this explosion of tenderness :"I have to pull myself together. He appears in a room and I have butterflies ... It's been seven years, anyway, that I'm married to this man”, she said. “It is a wonder. I had to do something good at one point in my life to deserve such a person."
At the side of Lara Fabian during her health problems, Gabriel Di Giorgio is also very present for her 12-year-old daughter Lou (born from her relationship with director Gérard Pullicino). He even left everything in Europe to follow her to Canada when she became coach of the Quebec version of La Voix. It is there, under the snow, that he is anxiously awaiting the return of his wife. “It's horrible, it's a little complicated right now. I work a lot, I traveled a lot. It's been 19 days since I came home at all, said Lara Fabian in TPMP. He is so cute, I love him. Therefore soon." The sooner the better for Gabriel Di Giorgio, who will surely cook him a shrimp risotto, his favorite dish, to celebrate their long-awaited reunion.
---------------------------------------------
Aside from all else, the image of Gabriel with snow in the background must surely serve to reinforce the notion of Quebec that most people in France and Belgium have of it…
with the message:
"From my dressing room... ready to find you in Touche Pas à Mon Poste (TPMP) in a dozen minutes... looking forward to it."
4) Les Enfants de la TV avec Lara Fabian

Lara was on the show of 30 minutes and performed a wonderful version of “Par Amour”, and briefly discussed her “50 world tour”. There was a little take by Laurence Ferrari (another guest, along with Marc Lavoine) on “Quand je ne chante pas” from Lara's last French album; a portion of the skit with “Catherine and Liliane” discussed in last week’s Update; also a clip of Lara from 1987, ‘Chez Fabienne’, showing how great a voice she had even back then (and fulfilling the name of the show, as they did for other guests). Then there was Lara’s appearance on “69 minutes sans chichis” with her “big garage” comment about opening her mouth wide to eat the confectionery – that got her to hide her face in her hand. Plus numerous other clips that emphasize Lara has ‘grown up’ on TV. Hopefully this will become generally available, but at least her live version of ‘Par Amour’ is, available at:

Lara Fabian, a new album very contemporary and hypnotic!
The singer Lara Fabian was the guest of 8/9 for the presentation of Papillon, her new album in French .
A year and a half after Camouflage, the previous opus in English, the singer is back with an album in French! For this new album, she trusted the team of the previous one.
Papillon, the first single of this album, with electro-pop sounds, has since been followed by Je ne t'aime plus , counterpoint to Je t'aime , written 20 years ago.
I have not changed my DNA, I remain faithful to what I am ...
Lara Fabian is also a Coach in (The Voice) "La Voix" in Canada.
LF: I really discovered a passion for pedagogy and transmission to the point of opening a school with a group of teachers and masters in disciplines that will allow the artist to be more polymorphous. Because I think "singing" is important, but I think there are a lot of keys that we need to know. And we are not always equipped to face success or failure.
In concert on January 9, 2020 in Brussels at Forest National.
It's in Montreal that Lara Fabian went to get inspiration for what will be her fourteenth studio album.
Entitled "Papillon", the album is composed of 11 titles!
"Papillon", the beach holder of the album as a single scout, a headline production resolutely modern and well in the air of time that should put everyone in agreement.
Lara Fabian also offers us for a few days to discover a third excerpt, "Par amour".
Also find Lara Fabian in the Tip Top La Quotidienne from Monday to Thursday between 19h and 20h on Vivacité!
In concert on January 9, 2020 in Brussels at Forest National.

In other news associated with the album, Lara wrote some text (on Spotify) describing her song
Alcyon, as ”A love letter addressed to Maurane”:
"This is the story of a mythological bird, capable of making its nest on the sea, because it has difficulties finding its space on the earth. Maurane had so much the feeling of not being here, quite in her place and, despite everything, like this bird, she was able to create her nest among us".-LF
Lara gave an interview to cinetelerevue in Belgium (https://www.cinetelerevue.be/actus/lara-fabian-et-la-chirurgie-esthetique-sa-reponse-cash?read=true#more): here’s the translation:

Lara Fabian and cosmetic surgery: her answer cash!
While she released a new album, "Papillon", and she will celebrate her 50th anniversary on January 9, 2020, at Forest National with her fans, the singer does not exclude one day from having recourse to surgery. Interview.
You are more active than ever: new album, new tour, not forgetting the Quebec version of "The Voice", where you are a coach. It's never too much?
LF: Yes, sometimes. (Laughs.) But at the same time, I can tell myself how lucky I am to have all this after 30 years of career.
And how do you manage to reconcile all these activities with your private life?
LF: Thanks to a concrete family that offers me unwavering support. A magical husband, a little girl who since she was born constantly sees her mom leave and come back and who understands it, a team around me that makes everything roll. After, you still have to find time to sleep and eat a little. (Laughter.)
How is life in Montreal? You never have the blues of Belgium?
LF: There is the blues of the people I love. Go and have a coffee at Wittamer with my friend Leslie, have a look at the Museum of Musical Instruments, hunt for Sablon, eat a cone of fries at the Barrière de Saint-Gilles. Fortunately, my daughter adapts easily to change. She's a real little chameleon. She inherited it from me.
The distance of your parents, who are in Belgium, is not too difficult, especially with your mom who has dementia with Lewy body, a disease close to Alzheimer's?
LF: Yes. Fortunately, there is Skype. We can be in contact every other day. Essentially with my dad. For my mom, it's harder, unfortunately, given the progress of her illness.
You will be on the stage of Forest National on January 9, the day of your fiftieth birthday. Did you choose this date on purpose?
LF: Totally. This is the first time in my career that I will celebrate my birthday with my fans. I told myself that if I did not do that to get past 50, I would never do it. Of course, there will also be all my relatives in the room. But this is an opportunity for me to say thank you to my audience for these 30 years at my side. And I wanted that to happen in Brussels, at home, in the country where I was born. Especially compared to my dad ...
The passage of fifty, you're worried?
LF: Not at all, it's just a number. I'm lucky to have the skin of my mother, which didn’t make her age, and to be in good health ... So, that does not work for me. But I wanted to be surrounded by all those people who love me to celebrate this date. This kindness helps you to gracefully cross the stages of life.
The fact that your husband, Gabriel, is 13 years younger than you, it also helps you feel younger?
LF: For sure. Having an 11-year-old girl and a 36-year-old man at my side brings vital energy to the house, but at the same time, it's my nature. Married or not with someone younger, I have never been old in my head. I have always been a kid.
You are still beautiful, but could you ever have recourse to cosmetic surgery?
LF: I've never done it, but I know very well that maybe one day I'll have to go if it's important. My face is my image. I'm doing a job where I'm in representation. If I arrived disheveled with a broomstick on my head, it would not be respectful of my audience. So, I do not say no, even if it is not relevant. The thing that scares me would be to find myself with another face. The smile, in particular. There, I do not know if I would not prefer my wrinkles ...
-----------------------------------
And another interview, in www.7sur7.be/7s7/fr/9100/Infos/article/detail/3522091/2019/03/14/Lara-Fabian-Le-succes-peut-vous-happer-ou-vous-faucher.dhtml
-----------------------------------
Lara Fabian: "Success can snatch you or mow you"
She defends "Papillon", her new album, for 19 days, tirelessly. And, even if she suffers from being separated from her family, who are waiting for her in Quebec where she has set her bags, Lara Fabian breathes happiness. "It would be very inelegant to complain about what we love," she slips.
"Butterfly" is your 14th album. After 30 years of career, more than 12 million albums sold, we still count this kind of things?
LF: No, I did not even know it (smile). You teach me! For me, the numbers do not matter ...
Yet, there is one, number, in the name of your tour, called the "50 World Tour" ...
LF: It will be a celebration tour where I will revisit the songs that define me, which characterize me and have seduced the public who has supported me for all these years. 50, because there will be 50 dates, in 50 cities and because I'm 50 years old.
Not quite yet! You will not pass the course until 2020 ...
LF: When I celebrated my 49th birthday in January, I started my fiftieth year. So I have already crossed the cape with gratitude and lightness, this is the beginning of a beautiful story. I think that we are beginning to pay attention to one’s age when our bodies begin to suffer. I'm not there yet. I touch my head ...
Your grandmother called you "Butterfly". Why?
LF: Because my Nonna was a very wise woman. I was a child who was maybe a little too worried, who was planning in the future, who was thinking about the next day. One day, she asked me: "If, like the butterfly, you had very little time to live, would you live in the apprehension of what could happen or would you try to taste the magic, to the power of the present moment? " At eight, you do not quite understand this kind of things ... But, her words have remained engraved deep within me. We are all inhabited by fears. When one is a mother, when one makes a career, ... But, I try to be more in the daily action. I arrive slowly. The butterfly has become my totem. By the way, if you watch the video clips of "J'y crois encore"l believe it" or "Tu es mon autre" you will see that it has always been very present.
And if, like a butterfly, you could only live one day, what would you do?
LF: I would gather my parents, my husband, my daughter and two other people that I do not prefer to name in a place I love, probably Sicily. We would eat pasta with sea urchins and we would drink the best wines. We would sing too.
Today, you live in Montreal. In a few years, would you like to move to Italy?
LF: I do not know. I will never really know it. I learned not to choose but to let myself live. I am nomadic. For the moment, I'm fine where I am. I moved to Quebec when I was asked to be a coach in "La Voix", the Canadian version of "The Voice". I had the job in France too, during the first season, but I was touring in Eastern Europe. And I had already accepted the job in Montreal when "The Voice Belgium" approached me. In any case, I will not move until my daughter is in the humanities, it's my responsibility as a mother.
------------------------------------------
Since her daughter is 12, and one doesn’t start college ‘til 18, that seems to indicate Lara will be living in Quebec for at least the next 6 years.
As to how the album Papillon is doing, in Quebec it has now dropped to #2 on the palmaresdisq.ca listing; in Belgium it has risen 7 places to #4; the latest readings from France were not available at the time of this writing.

Lara said that she missed her family, being away so long (in one of the interviews, when referring to Lara’s promo in Europe, it was mentioned she's been at it 19 days). This is necessary, given that her ability to promote the album will all but disappear when she is due back in Quebec for La Voix. The ‘duels’ section of that show has now started, and will continue for the next several weeks. It has been her usual blitzkrieg, but throughout she has been articulate, humorous, full of life – just a wonderful guest. The programs were very glad to have her back, and if she can continue to do this while living in Quebec, she might make it all work out. Let’s hope so. David

---------------------------------------------
Aside from all else, the image of Gabriel with snow in the background must surely serve to reinforce the notion of Quebec that most people in France and Belgium have of it…
On entering TNMP, Lara left this photo

And Lara concluded with the following message: “Thank you Cyril Hanouna for your welcome and this nice surprise that was to receive so live the words of my husband... I had a nice time with the whole team of Touche Pas à Mon Poste (TPMP)... thank you”. This was attached to a photo:

A picture from this show can be found at:

And another interview, in www.7sur7.be/7s7/fr/9100/Infos/article/detail/3522091/2019/03/14/Lara-Fabian-Le-succes-peut-vous-happer-ou-vous-faucher.dhtml

David
