I recently bought Deborah Cox's "The Promise", I think this is one of the best albums I've heard for awhile. The theme behind the album is the promise one makes to oneself and the people you love and love you.
My favourite tracks are:
Beautiful U R: The poppy lead single (in Canada), about self-love and self-acceptance.
The Promise: Written by John Legend, this track is about the promise made in a relationship and staying true to that person.
Love is Not Made in Words: The beautiful opening track about the fact that words aren't enough to make someone feel loved.
You Know Where My Heart Is: A song about the confidence that that person knows you so well that even little agruements won't get in the way of the rock of the relationship.
Did You Ever Love Me?: The lead single in the US, a heart-felt ballad asking someone if they ever loved you, because of the way they are treating you now.

I love Deborah Cox. Her voice is so incredibly beautiful. Also, she's a fellow Canadian like yourself, so she's automatically very cool. XOXO
