Just wondering if anyone has purchased or heard the new album by Julie? Was wondering what your thoughts are on it and she has a new website: www.juliezenatti.fr. Let me know what you think?

Hi Bev, I have not heard her new album but have heard and seen the video "Tango (Princesse)". www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5ZJqL8tcTk. I was not impressed. Julie is not one of my favorite singers but I do like a few of her songs especially "Si Je M' En Sors".

Thanks for your response Paula.
I wrote to her on MySpace and inquired about her doing an English CD. She wrote back saying she had no desire to do that at this time, because her french career is taking up most of her time.
What a DIVA!

I had a chance to listen to Julie's new CD. I was pleasantly surprised. I would say I like at least half of it but I have only listened to it once. It seems to me that it might be themed. It sounds theatrical. From her video I would say it's about a circus??
Can anyone help me out understanding it?

Great Bev.
I think the best song on the album is "Si Le Temps Me Le Permett". It's a really good song. Two songs that I think are decent are "Se Souvenir" and "Fais Moi Confiance".
I am interested in hearing you thoughts.

Hi Paula, Well, I just had my first listen to Julie's new album and I was quite impressed. I do like her singing and in alot of ways she reminds me of Lara in her experimentation with different styles of music and sounds. This album is based around a circus theme I feel and Julie works with alot of french rappers in alot of songs, just like the American singers are doing. The instrumentation is really different and quite good and her voice sounds great! I'm not disappointed in this album, BUT it is totally different from her last album. I'm glad I got it.
