This past weekend and the beginning of this week it has been -28 degrees Celcius in Calgary. The wind chill makes it even worse. If you have to wait for the bus you better hope you don't have to wait long because after 10 minutes it feels like you're getting frost-bite. A few homeless people have been found frozen to death. This past weekend has been really bad with the high being -28C. I'm really hoping it warms up soon and it should.

Man dies trying to keep warm in camper trailer
An Alberta man living in a camper trailer has died, likely of carbon monoxide poisoning, just days after a couple living in a school bus near Edmonton suffered a similar fate.
The body of the 38-year-old man was discovered Sunday in Bonnyville, northeast of Edmonton. A small camper trailer parked in a yard had been the man's home for several months, according to police.
He was using a propane heater to stay warm, but there wasn't proper ventilation and the man probably died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, RCMP said.
On Thursday, two people who were living in a broken-down school bus were found frozen solid in Spruce Grove, west of Edmonton.
Police suspect they also died of carbon monoxide poisoning from running a propane heater inside the vehicle.
With Alberta in the midst of a cold snap, RCMP are advising people to be extremely careful when heating buildings or trailers with propane or other fuel heaters and to use carbon monoxide monitors.
"These heaters need adequate ventilation when in use, if not, carbon monoxide levels will rise to fatal levels within the structure they are being used in," said police in a release.

I think I might have mild frostnip. Which is like a sunburn but from the cold. The biggest problem is that because it's so cold the roads are slippery and traffic is slower which is causing the buses to be late alot.
This morning I went out to catch a bus to get to work and I had to wait for 25 minutes (I normally have to wait about 5 minutes). I almost headed home and called in to work when the bus came. I know that someone who works with my brother waited for a bus for 45 minutes and when there still was no bus he went home and called work to say he wasn't coming in.
I've been sticking to being home on my off days unless there is something I really need to do because the weather is so cold, so I'm not doing what I normally would.

The cold spell is over now! It's so nice not to be frozen if you're outside for more than 5 minutes.
