"Hello Old Friends"
~ Rich Mullins
Philippians 1.3-8
1 Samuel 20.41,42
Hello old friends
There's really nothing new to say
But the old story bears repeating
And the plain old truth grows clearer every day
And so we meet again
After all these many years
Did we sow the seeds we're reaping
Now that love blooms out of season
And much joy can blossom from many tears
So old friends you must forget what you had to forgive
And let love be stronger than the feelings
That rage and run beneath the bridge
Knowing morning follows evening
Makes each new day come as a gift
Just thought I'd drop by FullOfGrace to let everyone know that my thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you. The song above echoes my sentiments and I believe the words to be full of wisdom.
God's love is truly in season, and we can blossom in it! I encourage you to live in that love!
You are all such good friends, and I hold each of you dear to me. I pray for your dreams to be realized, and I specifically mention those dreams by name in my prayer time (for the ones that I know of). Shavon's , I know is France. Leona's, I know is songwriting. Jim's is his musical career. Paula's, of course, is to help Republicans win the election in 2008! ;D Okay, maybe that's MY dream.
But whether I know by name all of your dreams or not; God does, and so I give them all to Him.
He is faithful.
I'm doing well. Still exhausted; still broke. More greatful than ever for the blessings that I have. The friendship that I have with each of you is something I treasure.
So, dear friends, know that morning follows evening....and makes each new day come as a gift.
