I guess I'm sharing this quote because it really inspires me today more than ever, because we live at a time when so much is driven by the media. There are so many people who are ready to say something about somebody else. Don Henley was correct when he sang "The End Of The Innocence", when he said, "armchair warriors often fail....." There are a lot of people in this world who haven't a clue how to solve the many problems around them, but credit is due to those who are at least rolling up their sleeves and giving of themselves in an effort to reach out to another in need. Life is meant to be lived! Let's stop watching from the observation deck, and go experience it for ourselves!

By the way, I first saw this quote while touring Graceland in Memphis. Elvis Presley was also inspired by it, and had a framed copy of it hanging in one of his rooms. Interestingly, not far ahead in the tour was a "Wall Of Fame", showcasing many of Elvis' accomplishments in record sales. The very next room was a wall filled with many copies of handwritten checks by Elvis to the numerous charities that he gave to.
