With La Voix now finished, Lara has been freed from her Quebec focus, and last week traveled to Antalya, Turkey. As we learned last month, Lara was booked to perform at the Titantic Mardan Palace, which was re-opened by Titantic Hotels, in a return to its “glory days”. We have several videos of Lara’s performance (thanks to the “Lara Fabian, Bien Plus Qu'une Passion Corse - Réunion"site) ; first, a wonderful “Tu t’en vas”, at:

And then part of “Je t’aime”,

A short video montage also shows Lara singing “Pas sans toi” and “Adagio” (thanks to the Lara Fabian est ton autre FB site):

"The HOTEL Titanic Mardan Palace Wind Blows in Antalya
The Titanic Mardan Palace , which was recently opened in Antalya and reopened by Titanic Hotels, has returned to its former glory days. Antalya's famous hotel, hosted the world-famous singer Lara Fabian.
Titanic Mardan Palace, located in Kundu, the touristic region of Antalya, hosted world-famous singer Lara Fabian on stage. Fabian, who appeared on stage for the group of Russian tourists, drew attention to the 41-point wish list. Sitting in the king suite with hammam, sauna, own terrace pool and movie theater, the singer wanted the apartment not only to have black tea, but also to fix the whole room, bath room and bath at 21 degrees (Celsius).
Fabian paid attention to the fact that the ambient temperature of the room was 21 degrees, so she insisted that the open air concert be placed in the closed hall. BPM Organization, which organized the night upon this request, moved the stage and concert area to the hotel's gala hall within a few hours. The air conditioners in the hall were adjusted to 21 degrees. The concert, expected to begin at 22.00, was delayed by half an hour. Some Russian tourists, sitting near the stage, responded with clapping as the minutes progressed.
Fabian's requests were not limited to this. The artist has also conveyed a number of requests regarding her photo shoots through her manager. In the concert where the news cameras were forbidden to take an image, only the right profile was allowed for the photo reporters. Photographers who were asked to settle on the right side of the stage were able to photograph Lara Fabian only from her right profile. The Russian tourists who watched the concert broadcast it live on their mobile phones through their social media accounts.
The artist performed 'Je t'aime', 'Adagio' and 'Je suis malade' on the list of songs, such songs as she has been singing for a long time.

If you had a chance to see any of La Voix, you might realize they abided by no such restriction – which wouldn’t have been possible anyway, since Lara kept turning her head, and her chair. If anything, given the common camera angles, she was more often seen from her left profile. Even the standard La Voix photo has Lara facing left of center (https://www.facebook.com/lavoixtva/). [To this observer, there is no obvious difference, but there is no accounting for taste. Alternatively, Lara may not want the ‘clicking’ on her left side because of her left ear problems…].
With respect to the “41 Item wish list” referred to in the first article, there’s a short youtube video showing Lara with a young girl (narration in Turkish – it might be from one of her previous concerts) at

That was Thursday night; Lara didn’t stay long, for on Saturday, she posted the following set of four pictures on her FB site

with the caption, “Back from Antalya... posed at home I kiss you, and put myself in the kitchen for good meals with family... and a little relaxation…good weekend to you...” The food certainly looks healthy.

Lara also posted a photo on her Instagram account, notable for her appearance, at

Concerning tour news, an article at (https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2019/05/06/lara-fabian-en-tournee-le-public-quebecois-choisira-les-chansons) indicates that for the three concerts in Quebec next year, the public will get a chance to choose some of the songs. Here’s the translation:

Lara Fabian on tour: the Quebec public will choose the songs
For the three Quebec concerts of her 50 World Tour, Lara Fabian said that the public will be able to choose some of the songs she will perform on stage.
This show, which she will walk through 50 countries for more than 70 dates, will celebrate her three decades of career and 50 years of birth.
"I see it as a celebration of all those years that have been connecting me and people for almost thirty years," the singer explained in an interview with Agence QMI. I will play a selection of all those songs that have found their place in the audience and are a little unavoidable, both for me and for them. We will revisit these songs, which will be mixed with some new songs from the last album."
Public choice
If the show will be almost identical in all countries, the three concerts in Montreal and Quebec will have a special flavor.
"There are still songs that have not had the same echo everywhere. In Quebec, for example, "Tu t’en vas", "Saisir le jour" or "Si tu m’aimes" have experienced a special welcome. If I had to do a show with all the songs of the last thirty years, without applause and without talking between the songs, it would last 4 hours and 45 minutes. So you have to make a choice."
Lara Fabian has planned to appeal to her fans, on social networks, to choose some pieces of her repertoire they absolutely want to hear.
"People will be able to choose partly the content of the show. My first success here was "Je n’arrêterai pas de t’aimer", It will be one of the ones we are going to arbitrate."
The heart in Quebec
Lara Fabian is always grateful to have started her career in Quebec, before leaving to conquer France and the rest of the world.
"Before having success elsewhere, we must remember that I was first born by the Quebec public and chosen by them, well before the French choose me then."
Having lived in the Montreal area with her daughter and spouse for more than 18 months, she will continue to maintain her family base in Quebec.
"I'm going on tour around the world, and I'm going to do a lot of round trips. As you know, I have a family. I will leave for a fortnight a month and I will come back. I want to preserve my life as a mom, a wife and a singer. "
As to whether she had planned to return to live in Europe, for reasons of convenience, she is adamant.
"Oh no, I'm staying here!"
Lara Fabian will perform at Place des Arts in Montreal on April 1 and 2, 2020, and at the Videotron Center in Quebec City on April 4, 2020.
---------------------------------------------
As evidenced in these news items, Lara is not resting, and her public appearances in Quebec will be followed by at least one in Europe. However, nothing is specifically targeted to support ‘Papillon’. In Belgium, it has increased 3 spots to #44; in France it is at #208. In Quebec, Papillon is #6 on Palmares Adisq chart for French language albums, while, not surprisingly, La Voix 2019 is #1 for English language albums. BTW, showing the overwhelming power of La Voix, for English language singles, Rick Pagano has both the #1 and #2 songs, Collin Moore has #4, and Genevieve Jodoin has #5 (with Hallelujah, the Leonard Cohen song). “Tue Moi”, which was sung by Collin Moore, is #7 in French language songs, this being the well-known version by Dan Bigras (whom Lara once sang with on this song)

One of Lara’s ‘final 6’ Morey Hatem, wrote this tribute to her:
“I dreamed of those moments when I was young and life did the rest.
I never imagined to find myself between your arms, in front of you and to share the music together, to hold my hand and guide me in this adventure, to believe in me and what I wanted to say through my voice already for a long time.
Thank you and thank you again for the joy and magic you have added to my life.
The Golden sentence that you never stopped repeating to me to follow my heart will accompany me forever.
One thing is sure we will sing again together that's what my heart has always told me!
I've already sung it during my audition and I'll always sing it to you "that I love you" Lara ❤

Concerning other visuals of interest: a youtube video at

notes the support of Lara Fabian's fans for research against brain diseases. Here’s the accompanying text:
“We wanted to participate to put flowers on the grave of her mother but Lara Fabian in her extreme generosity and kindness preferred that we give the money raised to a foundation that takes care of the illness of her mother, dementia with Lewy bodies. I put this video to show fans where the money goes.”

Lara and Genevieve Jodoin were on the cover of the Journal of Quebec, at

and on the cover of “7 Jours” for a story about Genevieve, at:

The cover quotes Lara as saying “Genevieve never stopped believing”.
Concerning other visuals of interest: a youtube video at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRUpa-1_pEM
notes the support of Lara Fabian's fans for research against brain diseases.
Then Lara, from her performance in Turkey,

And, finally, along with the Lara Fabian Bien Plus Qu’une Passion – Corse Reunion site,

we want to wish Lara a (belated) Happy Mother’s Day (from Sunday). Lou chose well in picking Lara as her mother!
