Lara has continued her countdown ‘til the February 8th release of the new French language album ‘Papillon’. She has done so by posting some attractive pictures of herself, and sometimes others. So for “day – 22’ there was this picture,

with the caption, “Dressed by Fernanda Sousa for Montagne”. And for “day-20” there was another picture, at

with a similar caption.
And for “day-17”, and again the same caption,

with a variance on her Instagram account, which also had the other pictures,
To get the full meaning of those captions, one can refer to an article at (http://dresstokillmagazine.com/montagne-fashionable-pop-store-city/), copied below:

Montreal’s got style and now there is one more player in the fashion scene to prove it.
Betina Holte, former designer and muse for Zac Posen, has teamed up with Montrealers Fernanda Sousa (Aldo and Reitman’s group) and Denise Arab to launch a fashion clothing collection. The predominantly black on black line has a punk chic vibe that speaks to a woman who would never compromise their personal vision of style in the name of fashion.
To add more to the excitement, the team decided to open a Pop Up store on Rue de la Montagne in Montreal. Simply named MONTAGNE the boutique is a luxurious “woman cave” offering BETINA HOLTE, Montreal based DOMREBEL and Malene Birger. Not in the mood for clothes shopping? MONTAGNE also carries edgy Betina Holte jewelry, a home collection featuring black Eco candles, black soap and a range of black pottery designed by Betina and renown local potter Trudy Crane.

The look certainly fits Lara! And it is in keeping with the more fashionable appearance she has been sporting since joining ‘La Voix’, for whom that is obviously quite important.
For “day-21” Lara combined it with a promotion for La Voix, showing herself with two of the other judges, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.622966977744803/2525956940779121/?type=3&theater
with the caption, “Small photo for the day…very soon, LaVoix on TVA.”
This was carried even further, for “day–18” where she provided a short promotional video for La Voix, at
www.facebook.com/lavoixtva/videos/368636420588927/
with the caption, “February is going to be hot!
On February 8, release of Lara's new album, "Papillon"
And two days later, the first of the 7th season of "La Voix”
Further cementing the relationship between the two events, Lara and Musicor, the record company that’s distributing Lara’s album in Quebec, is hosting a contest. As shown in their announcement, at:
www.facebook.com/events/2165887250406940/
on January 23, “Musicor offers a chance to 30 Quebec fans to come and listen exclusively to Lara Fabian's new album in Montreal. Register to participate.” Some fans writing in to register listed as their primary motivation the chance to meet Lara; and while that might happen, it was not explicitly indicated in the announcement.
The original release date of the album was in November; if there was ever any doubt as to why it was postponed ‘til early February, the joint promotion of it with the opening of La Voix’s new season should erase any doubts. The effect is powerful; the single of ‘Papillon’ is back in the top ten (#7) of Francophone singles in Quebec, as can be seen at (https://palmaresadisq.ca/fr/tops-ventes/chansons/?fbclid=IwAR1KuX9sJUFWcYd8Hf9XIw1R3ojFKoK7mSQGgephQUqdBAEfmELl969sgMg); while the video of the second single, “Je suis a toi” had been number one on the ADISQ charts for three weeks in a row.
Concerning Lara’s 2019/2020 “50” tour, on her FB page in the ‘Events’ section, they list the event at Forest National in Brussels for the date of January 9; but in the description they show January 9 - January 10. There is no explanation for this, and tickets are (currently) being sold only for January 9. One can speculate about what this means, but most likely it does mean something…
In addition, it is curious why the Russian dates are not yet listed on Lara’s sit. The “Lara Fabian Connecting People” site (https://vk.com/lf_cp), a very reliable source, once again (yesterday) posted the following:
----------------------------------------------
Already this fall, Russia will become part of Lara Fabian’s new World Tour “50 World Tour”. This time the show will be really special: together with her fans, the singer will celebrate the upcoming anniversary, as well as 30 years of musical career.
Do not miss the opportunity to hear again the favorite songs of Lara Fabian, including the main hits and songs from the new album “Papillion”!
Detailed information about the concerts, as well as links to buy tickets, can be found in the official concert groups:
Moscow (10/7/2019): vk.com/larafabian_moskva_7102019
Petersburg (10.10.2019): vk.com/larafabian_spb_10102019
------------------------------------------------------------------
Those are not the only dates not yet posted; the ‘Lara Fabian International Page’ FB site posted a link to a concert in Sofia, Bulgaria on December 16th, 2019. (https://www.eventim.bg/bg/bileti/lara-fabian-sofia-sports-hall-arena-armeec-512858/event.html?fbclid=IwAR0oC4rpHhDtdE1p9QN39fAAEqcLrP2hwdIiFtB-zKKAsZrRDCTzEZa3nSk). The accompanying blurb indicates it is part of the “50” tour. And if Lara is there in Eastern Europe at that time, one can imagine there may well be other concerts in nearby countries as well.
Again one can speculate about the reasons for the delay in officially announcing these shows, but if it introduces uncertainty into the minds of prospective ticket buyers, that can’t be a positive occurrence.

As Lara keeps reminding us, we’re still several weeks away from both her new album release and the first show of La Voix for its new season. We can expect more of these ‘joint promotions’, at least for the audience in Quebec, which seems to be the main focus now on Lara’s FB and Instagram sites. When the album is released, it will be quite interesting to see how it does in Quebec versus France and Belgium. Hopefully the promotion will increase in those countries in the next few weeks as well, although one drawback of the coincidence with La Voix is that it limits Lara's ability to 'cross the pond' and promote it.
Given that this is, officially, her 14th studio album, there have been only 13 times previously that one could be in the position of anticipating a new studio album of hers… so we should appreciate these moments.
