The big news this past week was the release of a duet Lara did with Tony Carriera of “Je t’aime”. You may remember [News Update 12/20/16] that this noted Portuguese singer was releasing an album with 10 ‘love duets’, including this one with Lara. The duet is already readily available on youtube (called “Um Amor Assim”) at

or equivalently,

It is a soft, pretty, reflective version, without Lara’s usual strong declaration. Lara even gets to sing a little bit in Portuguese on it! Their voices sound quite good together, but as others have pointed out, Lara at times seemed to hold back so as not to overpower him.
Lara then left an intriguing message on her FB site yesterday (Monday). Accompanying a picture of a wonderful domestic outdoor setting,

she included the (translated) caption, “Preparations for filming of a clip” – without mentioning what in particular it was for. Some speculated that it was associated with the new English album, but we now know that it was for this duet, as Tony Carreira posted a beautiful picture of the two of them, available at:

with the (translated) caption, “Very nice day of shooting with Lara Fabian. I have the pleasure to share a duet with one of the greatest voices!
Discover soon in my new album " "Le cœur des femmes". Thank you Lara!
TC” .
‘Alexandre Bé’on the Mz FB site remarked that this would be a wonderful way for Lara to promote herself in Portugal, remembering that Lara had a promo there for her second English album, ‘A Wonderful Life’. A ‘live’ performance of ‘Review My Kisses’ has a youtube audio available at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-9j1IQ8J8M
And she has been active in Portugal since then, singing both English and French songs, as indicated in this perceptive interview (in English), at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK60xDmyMQs
and
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-NjMJQbFZE
Of course, Lara has sung in Portuguese before, with a Portuguese version of ‘Si tu m’aimes’, called “Meu grande amor”. A video of that can be seen at:

Lara has already announced that she will have an upcoming tour of ten concerts in Brazil, so this gives her a unique opportunity to appeal to that audience as well. The ‘Lara Fabian Brazil’ site (http://www.larafabian.com.br/) has already placed this duet in a featured place.
One imagines this clip is not for the French market, since Lara probably does not want to cement that limiting image of her in their minds any firmer. [An aside: I had the opportunity to meet someone from the South of France the other day, and when I happened to mention Lara, he immediately started singing “Je t’aime” in a falsetto voice ].
The week before last, Lara posted an image of the coast of Africa at sunrise. Continuing with this ‘travelogue’ in pictures, this past week she posted a short video with the caption “The Mediterranean is angry today”, at
“https://www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/videos/1409776729063820/
Indeed, it was. It would appear that those views both related to this video shoot location, which was reported by some to be in Andalusia, Spain.
Lara also posted another picture, this one with the caption “Snow on the mountains of Sierra Nevada”, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1413597108681782/?type=3&theater
In this case we know exactly where it is, and presume we know why it was posted, as she has indicated previously that her ‘Team’ is working on the new English album in Los Angeles. However, this has its own set of speculation associated with it, concerning the company that is behind the release of the new English album. Last week we noted that ‘Odacity’, who manages Lara and will be responsible for the English record tour (as was true for ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ – the Concert), is also a record company. “jjrparis” commented that their record label has offices in Brussels and Los Angeles, and also that “Lara is referenced as their 'flagship' artist on several of the site's pages”, at www.odacity.be/about-c2414. So far that comment refers to “booking and management”; we’ll see if it extends further… It would seem to coordinate matters if the management, booking and backing were all from the same company, assuming the resources were available to provide proper support.

These last two weeks were an example of individual activities that we presume Lara will have in the coming months, within the general framework of working on the English album. In this case, she has added to the list of duets with notable ‘foreign’ male singers, joining those from Greece (Mario Frangoulis and George Perris), Italy (Gigi D'Alessio), and Turkey (Mustafa Ceceli), among others. As she referenced in the humorous video from last week by the 'Animaniacs', there are a lot of other countries - and male singers - left.
