Lara added a new element to a week in which she was (presumably) continuing work on her English album. She posted a photo with the caption “Contemplating the coast of Africa at sunrise... Une belle semaine de travail qui commence.. [A beautiful week of work begins...] I wish you all a wonderful week!” The picture is available at:

The implication is that this picture indicates where she is, and that it is work-related. It’s also possible that she is taking some vacation time…
Last August, in honor of the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s birthday, Tobias Ellehammer posted a video with Michael Jackson’s song “Black or White”. On the day before Martin Luthor King's birthday in the U.S. (though that might have been just a coincidence), Lara just posted a link to it, which celebrates (the hope for) racial justice, at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKfQ9AQe11E
and she included the comment, “Love this!” It would be hard not to…and one also wonders how/if it relates to the photo from Africa…
In what might be considered a continuation of that theme - or perhaps to keep her in the ‘English lyrics’ mode - on her FB site she then quoted lyrics from the Cyndi Lauper song “True Colors”, with an accompanying picture of such colors, at:

[As we know, Lara sang this song in duet with Phil Collins back in December 2005, as one can see at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sT9vJ4Lwlo
There is also a cute video of Lara practicing it backstage, at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9185AbKeocY].
The other possibility for this post is that Lara is planning on adding this as a ‘cover’ on her English album; wouldn’t it be interesting if Phil Collins joined her on it…?
[Phil Collins is in preparation for his own (comeback) tour, e.g., www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4077468/Turn-Phil-Collins-reveals-uses-controversial-electroshock-therapy-plans-big-comeback.html). In addition, on the MZ II FB site, it was noted that Cyndi Lauper came to sing it for Lara on the show “Dans L"univers de Lara Fabian” back in November , 2010. That can be seen at:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cx5FagPn0II
Her Team posted the additional comment to Lara’s 'post, “New English album and world tour coming up later this year Team Lara”.
Lara also (jokingly) commented on the tour, by writing “My team has started working on the new tour.. they asked me where I'd like to go, and this is my answer”: which was a wonderful video from the ‘Animaniacs’ that basically goes through all the countries of the world, available at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=x88Z5txBc7w&feature=youtu.be
Fans then requested a (limited) number of those same countries/locations. With this big build-up, it will be interesting to see how many places Lara really goes to. And how many continents – will that include Africa (the above photo not-withstanding), Australia (mentioned just about last in the video), as well as the already-promised Asia, North and South America? Lara’s has had several ‘world tours’ in the last few years, which really weren’t. If she’s serious this time – and an English album would be just the right vehicle –it might live up to that name.
The Lara Fabian – PHQ site came up with their own poster summing up the current situation, available, at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianphq/photos/a.353950308084982.1073741827.353946178085395/1041385219341484/?type=3&theater
With that in mind…the ‘Lara Fabian est ton autre’ site published the link to Warner France’s 2017 talent lineup, at
www.facebook.com/labelwarner/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf
As can be seen, Lara is one of the 32 artists shown, and the accompanying text to the full picture reads, “Live 2017 in music with our artists!”. We have been told, however, that Lara will be touring in 2017 for her new English album, which, we’ve also been told, will not be a Warner product. Will she still be a ‘Warner artist’? It’s one thing to occasionally put out a non-label album, but this tour, as indicated above, looks like it will be a vast effort – all, it would seem, outside of the framework of a Warner-related activity. We still don’t know under what label it will be released, but ‘Odacity’ indicated they will be continuing their personal and tour management of Lara for this album – and Odacity, according to their FB page, “is an independent entertainment company, including a record label, communication strategies unit and artist management.” Eventually we’ll get the complete picture…
While waiting for Lara’s London concert, here’s a video of the promo (thanks to the MZ II FB site for the reminder):

Interesting photo(s) of the week, both in black and white to match Lara’s posting of Michael Jackson’s song: from the ‘Lara Fabian Voice of Passion’ site

This coming week perhaps we’ll find out more about where Lara is and what she’s doing in Africa, if indeed she is there. Regardless, the general shape of her activity, apart from any vacation is clear – working in one fashion or another on the new English album and probably the tour. Right now the various fan sites are posting older videos, much like Lara herself has been doing as she and her Team try to keep interest active. Just today (Tuesday) they posted a picture of a butterfly with the names of most if not all of Lara’s songs inscribed on it, at:
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1408562582518568/?type=3&theater
They’re trying! – very creative.
And in that same spirit, and to honor Lara’s current contemplation: here’s the link to the video from the DVD for the Nue tour of Lara singing “Africa” (and “Rio”)

It looks like this year will have to feature a gradual ramping up of activity.
