Lara finished the last three concerts of her ‘Eastern’ series this past week, beginning in Minsk, Belarus before concluding with two in Kiev, Ukraine. She started with a beautiful picture of Minsk, including prominent cathedrals, at:

Lara’s concert then followed. We only have a few videos from Minsk:
Je t’aime (inc.): www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/videos/1323483581026469/
where it didn’t appear as if she was very successful in getting them to sing along. As a side note, Mario Frangoulis was one of the people who ‘liked’ that video from Minsk..

The Lara Fabian Connecting People site posted the link to an article about the concert in Minsk (http://www.kp.by/daily/26614.4/3631411/). Here’s the translation:
--------------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian performed the song in Minsk with her husband
At her concert singer talked with the audience about love.
"Good evening, Minsk!" - Welcomed Lara to the Minsk residents who came to her concert at the Sports Palace. The singer brought to Belarus songs from 2015 Ma vie dans la tienne (“My life is in yours") and old hits. By the early performances almost all the seats were occupied including stalls, although tickets cost from 40 to 230 rubles. Fans were carrying armfuls of roses and sprigs of chrysanthemums, gave a soft toy, someone presented the singer a jersey. For all gifts Lara Fabian warmly thanked: “Thank you! Merci! Thank you!”
For and hour and a half the concert lasted, the audience had time to dance and cry and think about monologues, reflections of the singer, with which she announced some songs.
“Each of us has a dream: small, medium or large. But the question is: what are you doing with this? Why do we procrastinate, to implement them? We have many reasons for it, but sometimes I feel that it is rather an excuse”, the singer said in English.
Lara Fabian gave sincere and warm speeches - many of the songs she dedicated to her family and friends. On the screen you can see photos of the singer's mother, her daughter Lou, and one of the songs she sang with her husband Gabriel Di Giorgio - a recording of his performance was broadcast on the screen. The song that gave title to the album Ma vie dans la tienne, Lara dedicated to her best friend.
The audience was very touched by the lyrical composition that Lara has dedicated to her mother Louise - in the end the whole audience stood up and applauded for a long time.
“When I decided to tell my story, I realized that I could not sing about my mother. But I do it because it can be useful to someone”.
Most of applause gathered around the song ‘Je t'aime’ - the singer sang it in the final. Usually fans organize a flashmob for this hit - lift up the plaque with the inscription Merci, cut from paper heart, but at this concert such performances were not. “It is a great pleasure - to be in Minsk, I was very lucky! Thank you!” - Thanked the singer for the warm welcome.
---------------------------------------------------
The article also included some nice pictures from the concert.
Then it was on to Kiev, with what appeared to have been an enthusiastic crowd, even more (someone reported) for the second concert. Lara again posted a few pictures of gorgeous churches, at:

We’ve come to expect the Russian fans to provide wonderful video evidence of Lara’s concerts there, and this time was no exception. Great thanks go to them for all their efforts.
There are some nice pictures of Lara from the two Moscow concerts, at:
www.crocus-hall.ru/en/photos/fabian16/
And Lara gave an interview in Russia for the TV channel ONT, posted by the Lara Fabian Connecting People site (and then the Lara Fabian Mexico site):
www.facebook.com/LaraFabianfromMexico/videos/1176683885719003/
She said she would love to learn Russian, but she currently only uses words of welcome and gratification. "But to try to maintain a conversation and that type of thing, no." She also said she is keeping the new English album secret, but that one will be able to hear it very soon.
Concerning future concerts: prior to her tour ending concert in Brussels, Lara gave an interview to ‘cinetelerebue’ in Belgium (http://cinetelerevue.be/fr/lara-fabian-forest-national-c-est-toujours-un-cadeau.html?cmp_id=7&news_id=39595). Here is the translation:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Lara Fabian: “Forest National, it is always a gift”
Frederic Seront
After the success of her latest work, “Ma vie dans la tienne”, the singer ends her tour in the Brussels room this December 17th. Before releasing an album in English in 2017.
How was your tour?
LF: Great. Especially because I sing almost everywhere. We did the countries of the East, Turkey, Scandinavia ... There were forty dates in all.
"Ma vie dans la tienne" is your most personal album, it is a real exposure. How do you translate this on stage?
LF: We use a lot of visual elements that create emotions, as a mirror of what I tell with my songs, like those of my mother and daughter. They appear in video, in photos quite like my husband.
What is the most intimate song you sing?
LF: The one that talks about my mother's disease. There are some nights that I sing as if it weren’t my story and others in which I miss the first two or three words.
Forest National is a big stage. Can you keep that intimate side?
LF: Yes, Bulgaria, Romania, it's somewhat similar I was in front of 4000 people, and the emotion passed well. In Forest, we will find everything I have offered in the course of my tour. And there will be two guests, Natalia, with whom I made a duet in June, and Anggun.
Do we also have the privilege of listening to all your successes?
LF: Absolutely. There will be again "Je t'aime", "J'y crois encore", "Tu est mon autre", "Immortelle."
You haven’t done Forest since 2009. Is it a room that has something in particular?
LF: Yes, it has a magic side. First of all, it's my house. I am a child of the country, and when we pass in that room, one gets the impression that there is a kind of extra energy. And I live it with gratitude. They tell me that many people come to see me….Forest National is always a gift.
You sing the theme "L'oubli" on the disease of your mother. Was it a relief to talk about it?
LF: Yes. That song touched a lot to the people, because it refers to a lot more people than we think. We broke a taboo. In fact, I started writing the text to pout myself in empathy with people, not to put them in empathy with me.
How is she?
LF: She will turn 75. She suffers from a neurodegenerative disease close to Alzheimer’s. She is another person today, and the only way to survive this is to accept that it is someone else. I have succeeded in doing that. We just have to worry about reiterating our love for this new person and not trying to correct it.
Your name has often been mentioned to be judge in "The Voice" in France. Will it not be the case?
LF: Zazie finally got it. But one cannot be disappointed with something that one has never done. Moreover I have started some projects.
Precisely, what are they?
LF: I finish the writing of an album in English, which will be released in the spring. There is a whole international market. I have ten dates forecast in Brazil. There will also (be) in Spain, England, China. My previous album in English dates from close to15 years. I told myself it's time to repeat the experience.
-------------------------------------------------------
Interesting that she has 10 dates in Brazil (she’s always said it was too long a trip to go there for only one concert – nice that she could get a promoter). She didn’t mention North America (or Mexico); hopefully she was just noting a few of the far flung locations.
In other news, ‘tis the season: last Thursday was the ‘World Day Against Aids’ featuring people wearing a red ribbon, and Lara got into the act with this photo (from the ‘Lara Fabian est ton autre’ site),
www.facebook.com/166959643357708/photos/a.168982793155393.43222.166959643357708/1174649785922017/?type=3
In the same spirit, the beautiful photo of the album cover for ‘Neuf’, done by Eric Deniset (Exclusive Print 40x60, signed by Lara) will be auctioned for the benefit of ‘Sidaction’ this coming Thursday in Paris. It can be seen at:

And again: as a number of sites are reporting, the charity event “Le Télévie” has an Advent Calendar featuring personalities to drum up support to help scientific research in the fight against cancer and leukemia in children and adults. Lara is shown on page 10, at
www.televie.be/le-calendrier-de-lavent-du-televie
Interesting photo(s) of the week: three posted on the ‘Lara Fabian Is Here’ site, include Lara having been given a painting of herself in Kiev:
A video of her receiving it can be found at:

Also Lara standing under the screen picture of Gabriel during ‘Tu es mon autre’,
And an interesting interplay with a band member,
Lara may have said goodbye to the ‘countries to the east’ ending this set of highly successful concerts, but in fact she will be back there, in Craiova ,Romania, next Sunday. There are numerous posters advertising this event, e.g., four such at
www.facebook.com/premiumbooking/photos/pcb.1027426994033809/1345350228810108/?type=3&theater
This follows the coming two concerts in Istanbul. In the meantime, perhaps she can get some work done on the English album (in addition to some Christmas shopping) .

Lara may have said goodbye to the ‘countries to the east’ ending this set of highly successful concerts, but in fact she will be back there, in Craiova ,Romania, next Sunday. There are numerous posters advertising this event, e.g., four such at

This follows the coming two concerts in Istanbul. In the meantime, perhaps she can get some work done on the English album (in addition to some Christmas shopping) .
