Lara finished off the last three concerts in this French segment of her tour this past week, in Voiron, Nice and Ajaccio (Corsica). All the concerts got great reviews.
There are few videos from the more recent shows, but numerous videos from those of last week; as is our habit, we cover the available videos for two weeks running, so as to include as many as possible. The additional videos that have come available are shown below:

Despite all these videos, Lara’s team again had to fend off suggestions from fans that there should be a DVD filmed of the tour. The implication from their earlier comments is that it is not being done for reasons that we don’t know anything about, but which most people think is financial. The suggestion that they just have people film from the audience, and collect fan videos to put together with the audio that they can easily collect was met with deaf ears (or contractual restrictions). However, fans could do this themselves, with a little organization. Again, the Forest National concert in Brussels would be the perfect opportunity. [Note also the full concert from Marseille, provided by ‘Lara Fabian The Best’, linked to above].
There were also some wonderful pictures from Lara’s earlier concert in Toulouse (9/29), available from ‘Well Done’ on the MZ FB site, at

A review from ‘La page des Fabianesk summarized the situation in Nice (living up to the English meaning of the word); here’s the translation:
“This concert in Nice was just... unbelievable!!!! A Lara in full form who offered us a remarkable show, a room with very good lighting and sound just at the top, musicians definitely excellent, not to mention the seats Super Comfortable, and an audience warm as toast... in short for me the best concert done since the beginning of the tour. Thank you Lara for this wonderful moment.” Note that special mention was made, in effect, of all the problems that didn’t exist here, in comparison to some of the other recent locations on the tour.
Also In Nice, Lara had the chance to meet with a girl, Ines, suffering from autism. Videos of their encounter can be seen at:

Conde Sandr had the following (translated) comments, shared on the Lara Fabian Web site:

Lara Fabian, her voice of an indefatigable traveler
The singer with millions of albums sold is passing in Marseille
Lara Fabian is visiting Marseille as part of her European tour.
“Je t’aime, Tout, J’y crois encore, Si tu m’aimes…Among the leading titles which made Lara Fabian ia monument of la Francophonie. On the occasion of a European tour, the diva is passing in Marseille. The opportunity to listen to her latest album Ma vie dans la tienne, it marks a particularly important date for the singer and her audience.
After a complete concert in March, you return to Marseille. Is this evidence of a particular attachment?
Lara Fabian: Marseille has always been an important passage. Since my first steps in music, her audience has responded: the Marseillais are fiery. I recognize a human warmth that I already knew in Quebec or in Belgium.
Have you had time to discover more deeply the city of Marseille?
L.F .: From time to time I take walks. I try to take the time to walk in Marseille to discover it. I observe the city with the eye of an artist who loves to relax when she has the time.
You who sing in several languages, do you keep the French language when traveling abroad?
L.: I am lucky to keep French because the public is the petitioner. There is a noble character in this language. Whether in Bulgaria, Greece or China, I have always mainly sung in that language ... Even if out of respect, I always try to interpret a title in the local language.
In which language do you prefer to sing?
L: Probably English. There is an extremely flexible side. One feels very free with this language.
How do you explain your international success?
L.: I can not explain it ... It's so nice to have an audience outside of one’s own cradle. Is it an alignment of events that gave me this opportunity? I do not know ... It's very complicated for an artist to explain things like that. Certainly, there has been a lot of work in that direction. But sometimes work does not do it all.
Which countries have marked you?
LF: My trip to Turkey was incredible. The exchange was profound. Brazil was also very disturbing. When you arrive in a country 10 hours flying from your home and you are welcomed as if you were one of them, it marks you deeply. But in France also I have had very moving experiences.
Is not it difficult to combine family life and world tours?
L.: I am lucky to have a wonderful family. My daughter often tells me: "Mom I chose you well". My husband is the biggest of my supporters. And then, I never go more than seven days in a row. I organize my life according to my priority: my family.
Do you have time to compose in the midst of all these journeys?
L.F .: Exactly, imagine that I am writing a new opus. I am almost at the end. The team I work with is currently working on production and you can listen to the project in the middle of summer.
What is to be expected?
L.F .: Surprise ... The music doesn’t tell about itself, it is listening.
----------------------------------------------------
Lara was very brave to answer that she prefers to sing songs in English, when asked that question; however, she was not so brave when she wouldn’t tell the interviewer that the new project is in English [which we assume is what she’s referring to, since last week she said her team was in LA working on it]. However, we now have some better dates concerning the album, with the expected release date next summer. Of course, as we know that can always slip…It furthermore raises questions about Lara’s touring of North America, which Lara’s team had indicated would be the first part of next year. Would it make sense to tour for an album that was still months from being released? Maybe this timing is why we have not had any specific concert dates for North America (or South American, for that matter). Or maybe the idea is to just ‘prime the audience’ for its eventual release, although that is not what most artists would consider commercially efficient. One wonders whether she will sing anything from it – she said it’s almost ready – at her concert in London in March or even in Poland in February, though it is not Lara's way to sing songs from unreleased albums, except for the advance single. .
Lara also gave an interview while in Voiron, available at (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10210959949218388&set=p.10210959949218388&type=3&theater). Here’s its translation:
------------------------------------------------------------
The Importance, is to contribute to the well-being of others
After 13 studio albums and 25 years of song, the Belgian-Canadian Lara Fabian returns to the stage of the Grand Angle of Voiron November 8th with her latest work, “Ma vie dans la tienne”.
You said of this latest album that it permits you to express what you haven’t said in a very long time. What does that mean?
LF: ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’, it is a collection of letters addressed to the people who are closest to me. It is a means of saying thanks to those who have helped me all along my journey. It is truly taking all the parties of my existence and delivering it to them, without filter, in all simplicity.
Have you written it so that each can appropriate also the words?
LF: Exactly. I believe that one is always the daughter of, the mother of, the sister of. the companion of…I believe that that is the truth of a song, it is that one can enter in resonance with the other, connect each other to that which one is here, also. How many people have said to me, “That, it is my story! I have been able to speak it thanks to your song”.
For example?
LF: The song, “L’Oubli” that I wrote about my mother who has a terrible neuro-degenerative sickness is very troubling. I know that it has been a very important link for those who live with this drama.
In the song, “Quand je ne chante pas”, you say: “To sing, it is all that I know how to do”. When you suffered your internal hearing problem, what did you feel?
LF: Very disconcerted frankly, extremely sad, and I was troubled by the fact that there had been perhaps a negative issue. But I always believed that it wasn’t the time, that I could survive this test.
You speak a lot of love in your songs. What are the other themes on which you also sing?
LF: For me, it comes in an infinite number of forms. The importance, it is to contribute to the well-being of others. When one develops this faculty of love, I find that the solutions are easily found in our conflicts as a human being. I want to continue to analyze all that.
With the advent of tele-charging music on the Internet, do you sell as many discs?
LF: No, we have all fallen from the horse. But at the same time, the music has never been as listened to as it is today, and myself I am an ardent consumer of Spotify. It is another world, to which it is necessary to adapt. I have the luck of having an international audience and I don’t ask myself the question of knowing if I sell more or less, but continue to do this profession that I love.
You sing in French, in English, in Italian, in Russian…In which language do you prefer to do it?
LF: Certain music is more adapted to certain languages, but to sing strongly in French is very natural for me, and to sing in English is very agreeable to me.
Can you remark on the differences between the audiences according to the country?
LF: We all have a little bit of our propriety, we can be really moved but demonstrate in a different way. In France the public is very warm, in Moscow very much more reserved, in Istanbul, extremely listening…Whether I be in the francophone countries, in the East or in the United States, there happens very often in the same moment, the same thing, emotionally speaking.
What remains for you to accomplish after so much success?
LF: But so many things! I want to transmit to the kids, to see their faces light up when you give them some keys. Give master classes in some specialist schools. I am in the course of writing my new album in English, which will be released next year. And I also have a project of musical comedy in mind that foments. I will speak of it at the requisite time.
-------------------------------------------------
Here Lara is forthcoming about the new English album, and it seems as if the musical comedy idea is still in her mind. As she said, at the proper time…
In 10 days Lara turns her attention to the ‘countries to the east’, with a week of concerts in Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. The ‘Lara Fabian Connecting People’ site has organized a Moscow fan party for November 26th ; for those interested see their site at (https://vk.com/lf_cp).
Following those shows, on December 8th, Lara will be in Turkey. As she explains in her promotional video,
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICpQFbQVHeo
she has now added another show on the 9th due to demand. Given what she said in her interview above, she probably expects that her songs will be “very well listened-to” there.
And in preparation for her coming concert in Brussels on December 17th, Lara was on the entertaining show ‘Face a Face’ on RTL TV1; the video is available at
www.rtl.be/tv/rtltvi/replay/11-11-2016-lara-fabian
The topic of Natalia did come up, and of course she will be Lara’s guest at that concert.
November 13th marked the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Paris. The Lara Fabian Web site took the moment to pay homage to the victims, with pictures at
www.facebook.com/larafabianweb/photos/pcb.1481647325184131/1481647268517470/?type=3&theater
Their associated comment was, “#JeSuisNewYork #JeSuisParis – united for peace against barbarism. Including New York in the comment was probably with respect to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Interesting photo(s) of the week:

And two more from Kate Starikova,
As Lara said, her team is now working on the production of the new English album, and she is almost finished with it. She has 10 days off now to bring it closer to completion, and indeed, posted on her FB site was a picture of a computer with a mixing / equalizer program,

with the comment, “Returned from the Corsica concert, and immediately back to work on the English album with the team”. Good luck to them!

The topic of Natalia did come up, and of course she will be Lara’s guest at that concert.
November 13th marked the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Paris. The Lara Fabian Web site took the moment to pay homage to the victims, with pictures at

Their associated comment was, “#JeSuisNewYork #JeSuisParis – united for peace against barbarism. Including New York in the comment was probably with respect to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
