Lara had a light week publicly, with the only activity on her FB site the posting of material related to past events. There were, however, several published interviews.
These ‘prior materials’ includes the video for ‘Toccami’ (from the Mademoiselle Zhivago ‘movie’), at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm7cVysiy8g ;
an early picture of a very pretty, dark-haired Lara at a microphone, at
www.facebook.com/larafabianofficial/photos/a.215378125170359.50343.201065806601591/1284400338268127/?type=3&theater
(perhaps from around the time of the recording of ‘Croire’);
and a hilarious video from a fan (from 2010) of various humorous segments recorded of Lara, at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgIB6svenFI .
Included with this on Lara's site was the Victor Hugo quote, “Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face".
Most of these you may likely recall from having seen them when they first came out, but it’s a nice remembrance, anyway, emphasizing the ‘love of life and laughter’ that she possesses.
There was also a note (http://m.rtl.be/people/862061) that a (male) candidate for ‘The Voice Afrique’, named "Malgic”, had wowed the audience with a rendition of ‘Je t’aime’. The video is available at (https://youtu.be/R_Tb7DoD-64) or equivalently, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx7OPVE417U). ‘Je t’aime’ is not often sung by a man, as the words to the chorus,
Like a crazy one, like a soldier
Like a movie star
I love you, I love you
Like a wolf, like a king
Like a man who I did not know
don’t suggest it, and the singer did not change them; of course in this day and age, gender is not a hindrance (and there are many examples of songs sung by members of the ‘wrong’ sex even in past times).
An interview with Lara as a prelude to her concert in Niort on November 4 was made available at (http://www.lanouvellerepublique.fr/Deux-Sevres/Loisirs/Concerts-spectacles/n/Contenus/Articles/2016/10/29/Lara-Fabian-Chanter-c-est-mon-envol-2885600) [thanks to the Lara Fabian Web site for the link]. Here’s the translation:

Lara Fabian: "Singing is my flight"

"When I sing, I feel a deep joy and lightness. "- (Photo Warner Music)
The singer continues to tour and will be in Niort in a week with "Ma vie dans la tienne." As a rebirth after 30 years of career.
How has your tour gone since its launch last March in Belgium?
LF: "Really good! We made forty dates and the public reserves for us a nice welcome. We went to Turkey, Greece, China and, as in France, the rooms were well filled. I am very glad of it! The tour will end on December 17 ... it was very positive."
In China, for example, how does one get the songs of Lara Fabian?
LF: "I'm always amazed when I see that despite kilometers, despite the language barrier, despite cultural differences, there are those key moments where emotion makes that everyone finds it. I observe many audiences. when I'm on stage and those universal things affect me deeply."
"On more or less big waves, I have succeeded in holding onto an equilibrium." This is a comeback on stage after some difficult times, that too must touch you ...
LF: "Yes a lot. I had lost sight of for some time, that scene. This is a very emotional moment of sharing."
Is that for you, singing is sharing? How do you feel on stage?
LF: "Yes, it is this sharing that communication, the exchange with the audience. When I sing, I feel a deep joy and lightness. Singing is my flight."
This flight, this makes thirty years this year that it lasts, since the release in 1986 of the 45 "L'Aziza is crying" in tribute to Daniel Balavoine who disappeared that year. If you had a moment to remember, what would be your nugget?
LF: "Oh, there are so many! But maybe I would hold this incredible moment, unique with the audience. It was August 13, 2001 in the arenas of Nimes. I saw 7,000 small sheets rise up with, on top, the text of my song "Je t’aime" that a group of fans had changed to sing to me. Thirty years, 25 years since the release of my first album, it's a beautiful journey, with many alternatives, of metamorphoses that I have welcomed as like one is surfing. On more or less big waves, I have succeeded in holding onto an equilibrium.
How is the life of your album "Ma vie dans la tienne”, title of the show that Niortais discover November 4?
"Very well, it received a warm public reception, it is moreover a platinum disc. On stage, it's organic music in a world at the same time acoustic with real instruments, the sound of the strings, and also very modern. Yes, it is very natural, very organic, pop music with a contemporary spirit."

Interview by Sebastian Acker
-------------------------------------------
In a previous recent interview, when asked about her career highlight, Lara had said there were so many she couldn’t pick just one; nice to see the event at ‘Nimes’, which historically had been her choice, is back in her mind.
And given that Lara’s visit to China (or at least their environs) was mentioned, then there was an article about Lara in China (http://www.cinetelerevue.be/fr/superstars-en-chine-le-carton-de-lara-fabian.html?cmp_id=7&news_id=39154) [again, thanks to the Lara Fabian web site for the link], and again, here’s the translation:
------------------------------------------------------
Superstars in China: the success of Lara Fabian!
We know she is famous here. But her success does not stop here! To measure the extent, one goes into the Middle Kingdom.
Asians are French culture fans. One counts moreover more than a number of francophone artists who are idolized in this country, as is the case of the cult Sophie Marceau. But she is not the only one!
Lara Fabian: the sold-out concerts
Our national Lara Fabian, having already won Russia, the countries of the East and Turkey, now sets out to conquer China. In mid-September, she participated in splendor at the opening of a new casino in Macau whose architecture is inspired by Paris. "I was invited because I symbolize for them France or, more accurately, the Francophonie," Lara explained, "I carried out the inaugural concert. It's fun to see them sing by heart the title "Je t’aime". For next year, there is a demand for ten concerts, each time in rooms of 3,000 people. I will do Saigon, Hong Kong, Beijing ... It's quite a different audience from home. They are warm in the end, but quieter during the songs. "

-----------------------------------------------
This is interesting news…one wonders, given that it is in the year during which she is mainly supposed to be touring for the new English album, whether those concerts will be primarily in English (would make sense in Hong Kong and Beijing)…[the topic obviously did not come up in the context of this article]. Lara once again seems to be emphasizing and expanding her role as an international singer - ten concerts in that area would be a lot!
Lara has six concerts in various cities in France over the next 10 days, starting later this week, including her first ever concert in Corsica. Then after about a two week hiatus, she will be spending time in ‘the countries to the East’, including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Romania, and also in Turkey. In mid-December she closes out the ‘Ma vie dans la tienne’ concert tour in Longuenesse, France, and then at Forest National in Brussels. The latter concert, as you probably know by now, will have special guests and will not be filmed, closing out the possibility that there will be a professional DVD associated with this very successful tour. The fan-made recordings discussed in the 10/18 Update will thus remain the only complete visual record available to the general public (unless there are any others made at her upcoming concerts).
For those of you who remember the original schedule there was to be one more concert – in Strasbourg. However, that event has now been cancelled (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10209674287005388&set=gm.601432060043660&type=3&theater); here’s their (translated) announcement:
-------------------------------------
Lara Fabian has cancelled ‘Ma vie dans la tienne- Le concert’/Strasbourg.
The concert of Strasbourg has unhappily been cancelled, by common accord between Happy Hours Productions, Decibel and the organizer, due to a change of planning. We regret this cancellation. The information for the reimbursement of tickets sold will be communicated on the page, and published also via the organisms selling the tickets. Thanks for your comprehension. Team Lara
-------------------------------------------------------------
It can also be seen on (https://www.facebook.com/events/992120484199088/), with, again, no real reason given, except for the (similar) posted message, “Thank you for your understanding. The decision is taken by common accord of all the agencies involved (production companies, management, tour company, Promoter). This does not depend on that of the artist. Team Lara”. As you can read from the posts on that site, people were not happy with the cancellation nor with the lack of explanation. It’s also the second tour in a row that has cancelled that location (‘Le Secret’ did as well, for more understandable cause). People speculated that Lara did not really want to travel and give three concerts in a row, because apparently it was basically sold out (with the particular seating configuration used), but nobody outside of Lara’s team really knows why.
One person, Andreas from Vienna, wrote in complaining he had already “booked the whole package from Vienna: flight, hotel, train”. Lara’s team wrote back, “Hello Andreas, we regret this; But promise you that Lara will be in concert in Vienna in 2017 (the new tour). Pls Send us a message at info@odacity.eu . Team Lara”. This is interesting in itself…as it implies the new tour will be going through Austria and thus probably Germany, where she had appeared with her first English album (e.g., the Baden Baden concert, available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhSGfvTvyY8). It’s been awhile since we’ve had any additional concert dates for the new English album, just (presumably) the Poland concerts in February and the one London date in March. One wonders what the hold-up is...
