Hello everyone; it’s me… Jim. You remember - that guy from Texas. I can’t tell you how good it is to talk to you again. I wish I could be more active here but it seems like Lara just keeps getting farther and farther away from any involvement with the America’s. I am keeping in touch with her and all of you through David’s posts though. Thanks David.
Actually, I’m here for more of a self serving purpose – if you don’t mind. You see; in an effort to keep my head above water in the drudgery of this work-a-day world I keep putting myself in seemingly foolish situation and then trying to explain my way out. This I am fixin’ to do again. Then main reason I’m letting you know is that a lot of you were around when this story started. Good memories those, when Missy was in Moscow.
Here is the promo I will be posting throughout strategic places in cybespace.;
A Texan in LA with of bunch of Okinawans… that’s how it began I have to say. But why a Texan; why Japanese… and how??? “Nihongo and Me”
My mind is telling me now is the time for this and I should come out with my guns-a-blazing. (In my opinion I’m just going to end up stepping in another big pile. But it won’t be the first time that I’ve had to clean my boots, and it probably won’t be the last either.) So here is the link to the story of Nihongo and Me. jimfromtexas.typepad.com/indies/2009/08/nihongo-and-me.html
Well, I won’t bother you with any more of my stuff. Wishing all of you, and me too, a very bright future with lots of U.S. Lara events right in the big middle of it. (Doesn’t hurt to wish I guess)
Take care,
Jim
Oh wait; maybe I will bother you with just one more thing;
I have found a new singer of interest that I am following. Unfortunately she doesn’t have any big record companies behind her. But she is a highly gifted singer and actor with major credits in movies, television and Broadway touring show.
After watching the videos on her website; this is what I would write if I were a rich and famous writer… and even did so her twitter page.
A talent bigger than you tube; a talent bigger that twitter; a talent bigger than small clubs or sidewalk performances - that’s Traci Toguchi
A voice for the ages; a voice of cultural significance; a voice of great height and depth that needs to be listened too – that’s Traci Toguchi
A singer deserving of concert halls; a singer deserving of the finest orchestras; a singer deserving of Broadway Lights –that’s Traci Toguchi
I do tend to get carried away when I write don’t I (as some of you might have already noticed.)
Here is a link to one of her songs
“What Would You Do”

I don’t know if this link will work here. If not you can go to the “music & video” link on www.tracitoguchi.com where you can find it and several others. I would stick to listening to the “hi-fi broadband MP3” links first to get the best idea of her voice. The youtube video’s are nice – but, they are just youtube after all.
