I absolutely love this song for a number of reasons. One, it is very well sung (with Lara singing it, how can it not be). Second, the song finishes strong. This is not to be taken for granted, as so many songs struggle with how to end, and sometimes fizz out. Most importantly, the lyrics are superb! Lara is so transparent! I love the way she lets us in to see a side of her that otherwise cannot be seen with the naked eye. Reason? She gives us the answer.....she otherwise guards and protects herself by showing "only the stronger side". But here in this song she allows us to know the real Lara. The great thing about this song to me is that there are a lot of people out there who are the same way, and rightfully so, that can benefit from her honesty in their own lives. Lara challenges us with her life and music, and I believe she makes the better of us all! And I believe she does it not by trying to change us in any way, but just simply by leading her life as an example. One more thing that really moves me about this song is that it teaches me no matter what kind of external "face" others put on, all people are capable of being hurt. It helps me to know this because I am then more thoughtful about how I treat others, regardless of how they may treat me. It may seem kind of funny that I could get all this from a single little pop song, but I just thought I would share with you the wonder of what Lara can do to one's mind !

I love this song. When I first heard this song it was like she was singing about me. Just because others don't see you breaking doesn't mean you don't break. I love how this song progresses from basically saying you don't know me but I hurt too to I'm not afraid to be who I am because that is what truly sets me free. Even though Lara says that words cannot describe what it is to know her I'm so thankful she is letting us see herself thought her music it is really coming through.
I agree with you Mark it is amazing how Lara can make such an impact with a single song but that's the power of what some artists can do.

I believe that is exactly what true artistry is; the amazing power to impact others with one's gifts and talents. Think Beethoven, Rembrandt, Shakespeare........heck, the list goes on! But here comes Lara! Not as well known as those mentioned, yet she still carries within her the same passion for her art.

Sometimes a song really grabs you at a moment in time and takes you away. This song does that for me right now. I'm all caught up in it!
