Toots sweet everybody (wait, that’s not right) Toots your own horn (no, no, no) Bonjour a tous (Yeah! That’s it. Boy! My French sure is getting rusty with me spending all my extra time practicing.) Anyway, as you can imagine, my head is totally wrap up in big time classical music lately. So I haven’t been able to keep up with what’s going on it the pop music world much. But instead of just being totally out of touch with you guys until after my audition, I thought I would share something from my part of the music world that I hope you will find interesting. If you don’t mind, instead of posting it here, I will give you the link to my MySpace where I have it posted. After all, the more hits I get on that site, the more I can show off to any future potential publishers that might be interested in my writing. Come back here with any comments if you want and I will be on the look-out for them. So, without any further ado, click here www.myspace.com/jimfromtexasand be magically whisked away to My Thoughts on Major Symphony Orchestra Auditions & Viola Players, Curtain Calls and Chickens Take care all, Jim

Well… I just have to tell you that when it actually comes down to how the cow ate the cabbage; the audition went about as well as I expected it would. My one and a half to two hours of practice a day just couldn't compete with the four hours a day the guys who are already playing trombone for a living can put in. It was a learning experience though. Unfortunately, the way it turned out just hardened my resolve to one day show the world just how good I can be on this damn trombone, even if it kills me.
Your hard headed Fabian Fan and future world famous trombone player, Jim
P.S. Sorry for the language, it's just the Texas coming out in me.

Sorry to hear that, Jim.
When you fall down, get up and try again better than before. The more you experience the better you'll get. We all know that you can do it. Wishing you the best luck on your next tryout.
