I agree with you that Major League Baseball is it's own worst enemy. I think increasing the number of teams that make the playoffs would help, but they need to also make the playing field even. I would add St. Louis to the list.

I completely agree with the fans of Montreal, but I was just trying to point out that Major League Baseball is so screwed up that there are probably twenty or so other cities in the League that feel the same way (Pittsburgh being one of them.)

It really is sad. I'm just glad that hockey took the time to set it right, even if they lost a season it's better to set the game in a place it can be great for all fans not just the fans in certain markets. As much as I wish last season wasn't lost if that's what they needed to set it right I'm glad they did it (as much as I hated that last season was lost).

Yes, St. Louis included in that exclusive list of perrennial teams that are always in it.

Maybe the Penguins can get in the win column tonight! I'll be watching! By the way, aside from being a Penguin fan first and foremost, I have decided to also root for the Canucks this year (except for in games against Pittsburgh or games that would affect them, of course.)

I noticed Pittsburgh was winning at the end of the first period, which is great. Especially seeing that I think that they are a team that will only improve as the season goes on, they don't have a lot of returning players and Sidney Crosby needs a bit of time to get used to playing in the NHL. I'm hoping they beat Boston tonight.

You never know if these picks are going to be all that they are built up to be, but I truly see something special in this kid. Not only that, but he is surrounded by some solid veterans. And with Mario to help him with so much more than just the game of hockey, but also the celebrity of being a star, I think he has a great chance at being all they say he can be. He looks like a great guy, too, when listening to him in interviews.

From what I've seen from him I think he has a good head on his shoulders and I think being around someone like Mario will help him become the player he is capable of being.

Will the Pittsburgh Penguins EVER win?

At least they are losing in OT or Shootouts because of that they are ahead of quite a few teams. They are quite close to winning, they just need to play a bit better defense and they will start winning. They had a good comeback tonight though, behind 5-1 and managing to get an overtime loss. They will win sometime soon, I know they will. Canucks won. I relieved after their terrible game on Wednesday.
