Here is a transcript of an interview Lara did by phone, translated by davidhr:
Lara was on the radio show "Les Matins de Montreal" this morning by phone (for about two minutes). Here's a translation of the transcript of the interview (thanks to 'clothilde' for deciphering the hard-to-hear French). It tells us what to expect in the coming concert.
When it is that you arrived in Montreal Lara?
It is a good while since I am there, since the beginning of June.
Ah since the beginning of June already
Yes
It has been a long time since you haven't given any concert in Montreal. Since you released 9 last year we hoped to see you in Montreal in concert, that didn't take place because you had even so some shows that you offered in France. Moreover, there was Ciconne who made your first part at the Olympia. What is it that brings you to Montreal for the concert on Friday?
Then listen uh, for the Friday concert, I try to approach as much as possible that which I did in France in terms of décor, and in terms of repertoire, but I also have had the desire of putting in the songs that the people know a little more here, that they love because it is with these songs that I am known in Quebec therefore it is a mixture of old and new repertoire with the most white décor, the clearest, the most crystalline possible. There are 8 on stage. There is it and it is therefore an evening a little bit unique musically for me since they are some things that I haven't normally done.
Yes and then overall it is a reunion with your Quebec public
There is it, and that makes already three years. The last time that I had come it was with the philharmonic. So that makes three years that I haven't given a concert in Quebec so I am very happy of being able to perform on the stage of the Place des Arts Friday evening.
You know that the people are very impatient to see you again, you are going to have a monstrous welcome.
What is it that is going to happen for the next months, the next year in your career Lara, it is that it is already in concrete at the level of the tour?
I am going to finish almost 75 dates even so therefore then I am going to rest a little bit after that. I have some concerts a little to the left to the right, in England, in Turkey, in Algeria a little bit everywhere. And this summer I return in the south of France to make that which one calls the full-air festivals and so one is on stage in a formation a little bit more electric. They are some festivals, they are some festive shows one means. And then at the end of September, October I am in promotion of the live DVD which is released, of the tourney with an extract, with a new song that I have written specially for this new project. And then I am on a new album, a concept of an album in many languages for the next year.
It is true? All alone? With whom are you going to collaborate on it then?
Listen, it isn't a bad world, but I have truly not the right of divulging to you this information at the moment.
OK
Certainly the most beautiful song that you have ever written is called "Il ne manquait que toi".
My God, this is kind.
And you will present there to the Montreal public Friday evening. Very very happy to have you in Montreal. If you haven't put you hand on the album 9 it is truly a small masterpiece of an album. Thanks Lara for having spoken with us this morning live on the radio Rhythme fm.
Thanks a lot to you 2.
Bye Lara
