Now that Coenraad has posted his review of Lara's English debut album (and what a great job of it he did I might add), we have plenty of time to discuss it before turning our attention to next month's review.
Paula, it is your turn to pick which album we will review. So, which will it be?

I noticed that Lara Fabian (French) and Carpe Diem have no posts. I think we need to give some attention to them. Since we just finished a self titled album I believe we should go with Carpe Diem. There are some huge hits from this album and other songs that have been completely forgotten about.
Now you can't be surprised with my choice since the great siggie (is that how it's spelled) that Shavon gave me contains "Puisque C'est L'amour" which is the first French song I ever listened to. But the deciding factor in choosing Carpe Diem is when you open the booklet those two eyes just stare right back at you.

Okay, Carpe Diem it is.
This will be really good because I think it's the Lara album I neglect the most despite the amazing songs on that album.

Okay great! I was hoping that you would pick 'Carpe Diem' because I absolutely love that album and feel that it gets too little mention. The attention we give it here will be great!
There is still plenty to discuss (if everyone is up for it) about Lara's English debut album. Coenraad has added much to the discussion with his awesome review, and it appears he hasn't written all there is to write about it yet.
So, let's keep the discussion going!

I guess you noticed my activity on the forum has declined since last week. I've been very busy and my studies are starting as of today. I have to start doing my planning for the semester and then start studying and submit my assignments. Like you said Mark I not yet done with Lara's English album, so if you don't mind, I still going to post a few things that I haven't had the time to do yet. You don't necessarily have to discuss everything I still post on that topic; I just want to post for everyone to read my thoughts. I will still try to participate in the Carpe Diem discussion.
Do you folks know what Carpe Diem means? It is a Latin phrase meaning "seize the moment". There is a right way and a wrong way of doing it.
The right way of seizing the moment is forgetting about the past and looking forward with your eyes focussed on Jesus.
The wrong way of seizing the moment is to live your life to the fullest in such a way that you become reckless, like illustrated in the Bible:
Isa 22:13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die.
Just some food for the thought. Keep this in mind when you listen to Lara's songs from this album and prepare your reviews.
Great choice Paula!

Huge apologies to everyone (especially Paula for whom the album "Carpe Diem" means so much) for not having my review in on time. I need an extention! I can have it done and posted by the end of the month......I promise.
So much effort was put into the reviews already posted by Paula and Coenraad, and it would be very unfair to just turn one in for the sake of meeting the deadline. There is no way on earth I can review the album with the same standard of excellence that both Paula and Coenraad brought to theirs, but at least I can give you the benefit of my honest attention to it.
So, I will work on it and have it in by the end of the month!

No problem Mark, you seem to be in the same boat as I was last month. Your honest opinion is all we need. I'm sure you will come forward with personal discoveries that we could not make on our own. Best of luck with all your activities. I'm going to be absent till the weekend to get my studies underway, I'm really struggling to get going this semester too many emotional ups and downs making it hard to get in the right mood for studying. I was hoping tonight will be the night, but I hope I will get it going tomorrow evening, I have to, time is running out on me and there is a lot at stake.
